Explore Tasmania’s unique and diverse wildlife at home or in the great outdoors with the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery’s Field Guide app. Available for both Apple and Android devices, the app combines detailed animal descriptions with stunning imagery and, for some species, sounds to provide a valuable reference that can be used in urban, bush and coastal environments. The app holds descriptions of over 700 species, from animals found in rockpools and minibeasts in your garden, to birds, mammals, lizards and snakes that you might see in the bush. We’ve put in a lot of species, but it’s still a fraction of the complete fauna of Tasmania. Our scientists will continue to add additional species and refine descriptions over time. If you have trouble either downloading the app or with the app crashing, please refer to our app support page.(http://museumvictoria.com.au/discoverycentre/museum-victoria-apps/mv-field-guide-to-victoria-app/support/)

Useless. It has exactly three species of wasp, despite there being many more than that. This is the single least comprehensive field guide I have ever come across. Facebook groups have more useful information than this trash.

A great place to start for those wanting to learn more about Tasmania's natural world. It is not comprehensive but gives a good starting point and overview.
John Dixon
Great could have more bird calls to identify.

Too much missing. Needs a lot more species added to be worth it. Most of the included ones are common and well known.
