This application is for Quebec residents. Do you know how and where to get rid of products you don’t use? Ça va où? quickly answers your questions and helps you sort your products and materials, whether they belong in an ecocentre, a drop-off site, the recycling bin, the organic waste bin, a special collection or even the trash bin. The application lets you : ● Easily find where and how to get rid of different products and materials you do not want or need according to your municipality and geolocalized position, like : batteries, light bulbs, metals, plastics, clothing, organic matter, bulky items, electronic products, etc. ● Quickly display ecocentres and drop-off sites in Quebec with an interactive geolocalized map. ● Display the contact information for ecocentres and drop-off sites closest to you. ● Get sorting advice for different products. You can find information about the reuse and recycling of over 1000 types of products sold in Quebec. Recycling in Quebec Almost ¾ of Quebecers sort their waste, though more than half admit not always being sure if they put the right product in the right bin. We want to help people who want to better recycle but don’t always have the right information. Municipalities offer many ecocentres and drop-off sites and with the Ça va où? app, it’ll be easier for you to find them. Notes about access requests : The application uses geolocalization technology. This access is necessary in order to find the closest drop-off points for each user. When you open the app, it will ask you your default municipality in order to display the correct municipal service information (ecocentres, different collections, etc.) for your area of residence. The authorization to access your photos on your device will let the application use the local storage space to optimize the reaction speed for future uses (information will be saved and stored directly on your phone, such as local ecocentres localization). The authorization to access your contacts and phone numbers will be necessary to directly call ecocentres or drop-off sites when pressing on a phone number link. ### THE ÇA VA OÙ? APP DOES NOT COLLECT ANY PERSONAL DATA ###

The new version of your app doesn't let me select a municipality ("Something happen, restart the app"), so I can't search for a product. It's completely useless now.

I think this is really useful as a start. Considering they recently reduced frequency & amounts of pickup (limited to what can fit in bins). In a multi unit apartment building with 1 bin, this is not enough). The only thing is: the app should be bilingual (able to switch between english & french) that is so simple to do & English is one of the official languages of Canada and Quebec is in Canada. :( I understand quebec's stance on protecting the french language but it's very sad for anglophones.

Has great potential but disappointed with it. I downloaded this app to facilitate the disposal of construction materials as we are renovating our house. All construction materials I selected guided me to dispose of them in the weekly trash. I know for a fact that the Eco center in Brossard/St-Hubert accepts a variety of materials. Update your app otherwise it defeats the purpose.

Disappointing start, it is hard to find the item you are looking to recycle, not always in the right category and the search is pretty bad. Also I wish you could use your camera to identify items. With all the fees we pay for recycling things should be much better and I hope it improves soon, too much waste still in Quebec.

Doesnt seem to function properly on a Pixel. I have removed and replaced it twice. It allows me to choose my municipality but stops there. Seems like it would be a great tool! Maybe a future state would have it pair up with the compost!
Robert Syme
Very thorough. I used to think I knew what went in the recycling, but it's very dependent on your municipality. I'm very happy to have a definitive and always up-to-date reference.

Greenfield Park resident confused - why is it that when I enter Greenfield Park as my location, it tells me everything goes in the garbage? Using Longueuil as the location, of which Greenfield Park is a part, says most recycling material can be recycled.
Adam Bede
Good app especially now that they added an English version. You can pretty easily search where any material goes to be disposed of.
Marketa Jarosova
This app is great! Between recycling and composting and now have one small bag of garbage for a period of two weeks.
Pascal Lapointe
Great app overall. Easy to use. I learned a lot of what could and could not be recycled.
