Everything worked great until last week. I have used this on at least 20 previous cooks with little to no problems. I had not grilled in a few weeks, due to work, and last week every thing got buggy. I managed to work it out but this weekend I have zero control over my cook. It will not start low & slow properly. Says I have cook started when I don't. I have reset, re-installed all hardware & software with no success. Memorial Day is next week, thanks iKamand for ruining Summer.

Why do an update that absolutely destroys this device. I have used for over a year with no issues and now since update cannot use. Nice job on killing something that was super helpful in long cooks. Now I own a paper weight.

I purchased this and wasted 2 1/2 weeks trying to connect it many times. I got to the point that I could connect it so I could update the app but I can't even get that far nor can a number of friends trying to help so I returned it. They gave me another one thinking the first one was faulty. I wasted another week trying a number of times. Wasted time. Today for the 2rd time I have returned it. The people in the store where I purchased it from could not connect it either. I brought a 3rd ikamand home with high hope's just maybe I would get lucky. I gave up for good and will return the 3rd Ikamand for good. They told me if the 3rd one didn't work they would remove them from their shelves and send them all back. They are a big dealer with 6 stores so that says alot.

It's ok. The concept is great. However it has to have alarms! 2 hours after I went to bed, it seems a creature slid the ikamada to the side to try and get in my smoker. The temp went up 75 degrees and stayed there. The app never said a word. Also, wanted to wrap the brisket at 160, the notification didn't wake me even when it was at 180, it just kept on going. Wanted to be able to trust it and sleep. That's not this device.

Device no longer works. I guess there was a update but now it no longer connects. Had to remove it and use the old school way

I just received my Ikamand yesterday, with the hope of using it today (Thanksgiving) to help while I roasted my turkey on my big joe. It has been holding at 5% download of the update for 30 minutes. It is connected foinew to my wifi network and says it is updating, to no avail. I was hesitant on purchasing this device because of the negative reviews but hoped it would be fixed by now. I have a big cook ()12-14 hour brisket) that will take place over night for delivery top my office party on December 10. I was hoping IKamand could keep me out of the weather and I could take some naps. Not so happy atm.

Can't trust it for long cooks. Seems to start out fine. Several hours into a low/slow cook the fan starts behaving erratically. Kicks on and stays on even though we're 15 to 20 degrees above the set point. Drives the temp ever higher. Twice now we've had to turn it off and use it in monitor for long cooks. Cannot trust it at all.

Wifi range is not good. Practically have to move it into my kitchen to get within range, even when other devices work flawlessly and show good wifi signal in the same location. Probe temperatures update very slowly and the refresh button seems to do nothing. This thing is glitchy and not a device I can ever trust. Sometimes the probes do not work and other times they do. I have endured more frustration with this device than any other that I have owned. Definitely would consider other fans first.
