The Importance of Screen Balance on Android: Enhancing Your Digital Experience

Are you tired of straining your eyes while scrolling through your smartphone or tablet? Do you wish to optimize your digital experience and make it more comfortable? Look no further than achieving the perfect screen balance on your Android device.

Why is Screen Balance Essential?

When it comes to mobile devices, the screen is the window to our digital world. Whether we're browsing social media, streaming videos, or reading e-books, a well-balanced screen can significantly impact our overall experience.

Screen balance refers to the proper distribution of color temperature, brightness, and contrast on your Android device's display. Achieving the ideal balance ensures that your eyes are comfortable and protected, reducing strain and potential eye fatigue.

The Benefits of a Well-Balanced Screen

Achieving the perfect screen balance can have a multitude of benefits. Let's explore why it is essential for your Android device:

1. Reduced Eye Strain

By optimizing color temperature, brightness levels, and contrast, you can minimize eye strain. This is especially crucial if you spend extended periods staring at your screen, whether for work or entertainment.

2. Enhanced Visual Clarity

A well-calibrated screen balance improves visual clarity, making text, images, and videos appear sharper and more vibrant. It allows for better visibility and enhances the overall quality of your digital content.

3. Comfortable Reading Experience

Reading on an Android device becomes a pleasure when the screen balance is just right. The correct color temperature and brightness can simulate natural light, providing an immersive reading experience without causing eyestrain or fatigue.

4. Optimal Battery Efficiency

Did you know that an imbalanced screen can contribute to battery drain? By calibrating your Android device's screen to the perfect balance, you can optimize power consumption, extending your battery life and preserving energy.

How to Achieve the Perfect Screen Balance

Now that you're aware of the importance and benefits of screen balance, you're probably wondering how to achieve it. Follow these simple steps to enhance your Android device's display:

1. Adjust Brightness and Contrast Settings

Experiment with your Android device's brightness and contrast settings until the screen appears comfortable to your eyes. Dim the brightness if it feels too harsh, and adjust the contrast for optimal visual clarity.

2. Consider Night Mode and Blue Light Filters

Many Android devices now come equipped with night mode and blue light filter features. These settings reduce the amount of blue light emitted by your screen, allowing for a more comfortable viewing experience, especially during nighttime.

3. Install Display Calibration Apps

Take advantage of display calibration apps available for Android devices. These apps offer advanced customization options, enabling you to fine-tune color temperature, saturation, and other display parameters according to your preferences.

4. Regularly Clean Your Screen

Remember to keep your Android device's screen clean. Dust, fingerprints, and smudges can affect the screen balance, making it appear dull or hazy. Clean your device's display regularly to ensure optimal clarity and visual performance.

Conclusion

Investing a little time and effort in achieving the perfect screen balance on your Android device is well worth it. Promoting comfortable viewing, reducing eye strain, and enhancing your digital experience are just some of the benefits you'll reap. So, go ahead and optimize your Android device's screen balance today, and embrace a visually immersive and eye-friendly digital journey!

❝Exercise complete control over your screens white balance, tint and brightness level - Finally!❞
I initially made Screen Balance for personal use - I am extremely pleased with the result and I am sure you will like it too.
❝Root NOT needed❞
UPDATES
★ Auto-sleeps when incompatible windows encountered (e.g. Package Installers)
★ Toggle on/off from notification tray - in Android Jellybean (4.1) and over.
★ Save color profiles.
★ Due to popular demand, I have added RGB adjuster to allow you to create your own color filters.
★ Again due to popular demand, I have added option of adjusting the screen contrast ... This vastly improves the readability of your screen at night. It also allows correction of harsh or over vibrant screen colors.
FEATURES
✓ First Android App to allow adjustment of the screens white balance - this will allow you to define how warm/cool the screen appears and can be useful to correct odd tints that can be found on many screens.
✓ Reduce brightness levels to below what Android normally allows - prevents night time strain, especially on AMOLED screens.
✓ Reduce Black Crush/Clipping on many devices including the recent Pixel 3
✓ Apply color tint to the screen - this is used to apply a color filter, e.g. a red tint such that you can use it in really dark environments, e.g. star gazing or simply reading at night.
✓ Safety feature to auto reset brightness if set too low by accident.
✓ Dark and Light themes - allows you to accurately test white balance and prevent eye strain at night and to test your color balance.
✓ Independently adjust brightness and tint as per your requirements.
✓ Due to popular demand, I have ensured that the App stops from appearing on the Android task list.
✓ Apply settings automatically on device boot.
✓ Save color profiles and settings.
✓ Inherently low resource use with no noticeable impact on performance and battery.

Please fix the issue asking me to enable services everytime I run the app, takes me to the my accessibility control settings only to find it already enabled/on n then i press returns key and the same annoying cycle emerges.i even opted to run the service on boot.another issue is I'm not able to manually adjust my color schemes for games and videos via split or run over other apps.what's the point if I can't simultaneously see what's changes I'm making please help?

    1) Not being able to tweak the contrast in the free version is just embarrassing. 2) Why can't I see my home screen while adjusting the sliders? The most reliable way of ensuring I'm calibrating the colors properly is by looking at a familiar image, not a rectangle with two contrasting values. There exist free software that offer more functionality.

Please add the functionality to do partial screen burn fixes for amoled screens like on the galaxy note 8. It's a common problem in this model and other super amoled displays. Half of my screen has a heavy red tone. This app could be a workaround it. I need it to do a selected area only. To fix the undesirable tint. Thank you in advance

Every time I move a slider a pop up comes up, the slider resets, and it asks me to "go pro" pay for the pro version of I like this version. I have no way of knowing if I like this version since it doesn't work!

Available controls do nothing to help solve screen issues in my e-ink device, and the unavailability of Pro version features makes it impossible to know whether upgrading would help. i understand the need to limit the free version, but I would suggest to put a time limit on full features, rather than crippling the app so that it seems useless, when it might not be. So I guess I will never know if the full version would help my use case without seeing it myself (e-ink screen).

It helps fix the really dark issue on the Pixel 3. Just wished that screen balanced worked with apps like McDonalds and ShakePay cause when screen balance is on, I can't interact with my screen with those 2 apps for some reason

I buyed the pro version of the app and I'm very pleased with it. I was able to get rid of that very high contrast that my Samsung phone has and remove some of the red tint as well. Now I can see everinthig as close as it gets to my calibrated PC monitor (for me this is very important because I edit a lot of photos). Huge thanks to the developers 😊
