Aurora Clock is a tool that allows you to turn your Android smartphone or tablet into a professional tournament clock for chess, checkers, go, othello or any other board game for 2 players. The application has an appearance of classic digital clock. It supports up to 3 game stages with different settings for each. By combining time options you can set almost any time control.

Main functions:
> Handicap mode by setting different white and black time, 
> Hourglass and Overtime (scrabble) modes. 
> Time compensations: Fisher, Simple Delay and Byoyomi

    Of the clocks available, (and I tried the most reviewed/downloaded), only this one has to within a gnats eyelash the range of options as tournament clocks. Maybe (and it is a small one) add the ability to choose which side of the clock is the 1st player. Since the person playing black in chess decides which side of the board to place the clock, right handers will place the clock on their right side, which matches the clock's orientation. The clock will be upside-down for lefties with black.

    Very Nice Annoying Detail: on S9 with lineageOs 15 on every start it starts with 5:00 5:00. My selected preset keeps getting deselected. That's weird because other settings like show ms or save state work. When the latter is active the clock still returns to 5:00 5:00 on restart of the clock. So on every restart of the app I have to reselect my preset and manually restart the clock... But since this is the best clock out there I would give you 6 stars anyway. So I excuse for only 5! Thank you!

    This is the best clock app I've tried. It would be nice for the clock to rotate to left or right horizontal so it could be placed on either side of the board. Responsive developer - thanks for letting me know how to name my saved presets!
