For some reason when uploading my pictures from my phone (the pictures on my device that Amazon Photos is uploading for back up) there always seems to be an issue when getting towards the end on like the last few pictures. It will notify me saying "Amazon photos upload paused at 31 of 34" and obviously I always click resume, then it NEVER does! It's like the app freezes up so I just get irritated and just exit out of it. It's kind of ridiculous. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong... ???

Amazon photos is a really good app for storing your photos. The one drawback, I downloaded it because it said it didn't affect your phone's storage, which is great as I have a Google pixel and therefore I have loads of photos but very little phone storage! No SD card slot, so an app that can save my pic's and save on space? Well that's too good to be true right? Yes it is, all of my photos in the app are clogging up my phone! So in that respect it hasn't helped! Other than that the app is great

I like Amazon photos for backing up photos and videos except for one SERIOUS problem with uploads. Random photos/videos are often NOT uploaded. When I try manual upload the items STILL don't upload! I wonder how many of my photos/videos AREN'T in Amazon cloud. I'd like an option to Show a LIST of photos/videos w/thumbnail, file name, Date Taken, and Size in MB,GB,KB. Also, I'd like the Info option when looking at photo/video to display Location in addition to the current info now displayed.

I love this app. It automatically backs up all pictures, downloads, and screenshots. My phone can only hold so many pictures, but Amazon photos can hold so much more! I don't need to keep everything saved forever. After everything is backed up, I can get on my computer and download them to a flash drive. Only downside is the limited storage for videos. If you don't need that, then this app is perfect for you.

I love this photo app. Having all of my photos and videos with me at all times is amazing. I really love the "on this day" feature. The only negative is you cannot share additional space for videos with your family. And teen accounts do not even have the option to buy additional space. This is a major downside.

Photo uploads are not robust, usually with one or two images persistently failing to upload. There is no real action apart from retry and maybe cancel. Photo uploads are a routine feature in lots of apps, so this is embarrassing for the premier cloud service provider. Even just rudimentary errors, like out of space or photo not meeting some standard, should be manageable as with other apps. A retry limit would good, too. Automated process before "email for help".

What isn't there to like? It's another free service for being an Amazon prime member. With The gap left with Google photos now charging everyone. Amazon photo seems like a no-brainer besides they let you upload the full resolution photo for free. I just wish there was more space for videos but it's hard to complain about a free service.

I would give 5 stars if there were a way to shut off the daily alert to "check out this day, in 2017" etc. The app is alerting at 2 am 3 am and is annoying to be awakened by what sounds like a text. That time of the morning is not only woken me up but it's kind of panic mode for a minute, that someone's hurt etc. I'll give it 5☆if they can change this or reply to me explaining how to silence the alert 📢

Uploading is....glacial. If at all. Do not rely on this to protect your photos. Installed for a month and still have 1500 to go... When uploading starts, I rapidly does about 6-7m then halts. My internet upload speed is about 6mbps. (Update, Oct 15, 2021) Still over 900 photos to go. I'd give it less than 1 star if I could. Dont trust this app.

Very nice. Not the most intuitive, but nice to store and view everything. I tie it to my Alexa, and can view tens of thousands of pictures as they randomly scroll through. I also like sharing the albums out and having everyone instantly see all the updates.
