Cooking in water at a set temperature, is made simple, with the Anova Precision Cooker. Everything has come out great, even for me doing the cooking! Meats are moist and tender.. Simple to use with the web interface. What more can you ask for with the recipe interface web based.

The unit works well, the suggested guidelines for temperature and length of cooking don't give variables for frozen vs. fresh, and I've ended up with undercooked food. I use the Joule app to configure temperature and cook time then I set me Anova according to that.

Timer works fine but won't shut off unit. It counts down to zero then counts up but will not shut off until you manually shut it off. I have a timer in my phone making the timer function worthless.

Bluetooth and app are perfect. Other users can post recipes and when you pick one out, send the time and temp straight to the Anova. Perfect food every time.

Timer no longer works via the app. I get notified when the water reaches temperature, but the timer doesn't start counting down.

app doesn't work well after recent update. controlling the circulator used to work flawlessly, now it's hit or miss.

Haven't used my bluetooth-version cooker in a while and now it won't connect to the app. I go thru the connection process and it says it's successful, but then when I go to the cook menu, it can't connect. Unlikely I'll ever purchase another Anova product.

Bluetooth connections are iffy and the device gives a low water error when I turn it on even if the water is between the min and max lines. It works but I have to turn it on several times in rapid succession to get it to work without giving me an error. It's served me well for 3 years but has become unreliable recently.

I was given an Anova Precision Cooker as a gift several years ago. On the three or four occasions when it's actually connected and worked properly the results have been excellent. BUT! It never remembers the connection settings (WiFi) so every time I use it I have to pair with Bluetooth via this app, then connect it to WiFi (including inputting password). 6 times out of 10 it fails to connect. Or my phone can't see it on Bluetooth. No way to start manually. Terrible.
