The company does not care about this really bad interphase! That never works, if you have the option please avoid it. It never connects to the adapter. And when it does connect it doesn't do what it's supposed to do. You turn off the heater thinking it's turned off but somehow it just keeps working and working costing you more money in the long run. Sometimes the heater just turns on by itself, so unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars in gas Bill's I would avoid this this company like fire.

Outdated and terrible app. I have to use it because it is the only option to control my pool's functions from my phone. Hopefully one day Pentair will start to care about user experience and update this junk. It's early 2000s technology at best. Can't zoom into history and scroll left and right without it resetting position. Connectivity is hit and miss and app has painfully slow load times.

Functionality fails regularly. Difficult to setup connectivity. Loses connectivity and does not communicate inability to communicate displaying last known information. App incompatible with newest versions of Android, took almost a year to update and work with newer phone. Seems to randomly stop working. During the few times it works, it is fantastic.

The rating is as much for the hardware as it is for the app. When it all works, it's great. More often than not, the app and the equipment don't talk to each other. There are so many different failure modes that I've found between the various components. Rebooting doesn't always fix the issue. Sometimes it's the Ethernet cable. Sometimes I can't figure out what the problem is at all and I have to control the equipment on the panel itself. This system is really pretty terrible.

I wish I could say that all these bad reviews are exaggerated. They are not. When spending many tens of thousands of dollars on a swimming pool to include pentairs good products you expect the remote configuration and control apps to be reliable and professionally designed. It is not. When connecting on the home network it connects reliably but drops the connection with out letting you know it's even dropped fairly regularly. Remote connection through the internet fails for days at a time.

Pentair is a great company. I know they can do better than this from a lighting perspective. I'd like to see a color wheel or bar where you can slide into the colors you want. Set color one, set color two set color three and then the lights will transition. If a $6.00 led lightbulb an do it. I know Pentair can. I trust the company will improve things

Didn't realize you had to set up a remote connection when away from the house. Weird how it can't be connected to whether away or at home, but works nonetheless. If you are having problems connecting from home, you have to set up a "remote connecrion".

The system keeps disconnecting very often making the automation "useless"..some system which i paid over a thousand dollars for it...what a waste of money...my friend out there, if you are planning in buying the PentAir automation system, SAVE YOUR MONEY...the system DOES NOT WORK.

Great when it works. Love it when it works. Works about 70% of the time. Can't find any updates. When it's working I'm able to control everything in the backyard. Don't realize how much I use & rely on the app until it goes down.

PENTAIR! YOU NEED TO FIX THIS APP! While some of the functionality of the app is limited, if it just worked consistently I would be happy. The major issue here is that it is nearly impossible to get any measure of a reliable connection. It constantly times out or says the password is wrong when the issue is with the Pentair app itself and their servers. Acknowledge the issue and fix it! What am I paying for?
