Firstly WiFi password to connect to the X2 on the guide is wrong, it's 88888888. And more importantly this app crashes as soon as it's connected to the device. Galaxy S10. For a high end product, your software QA process is atrocious, this is beta software at best.

This app is superseded by the newer Insta360 app. However, you MUST keep this app around to reconnect the Bluetooth remote with the One X. That is not possible from the new app.

Does not connect to Google Pixel 3XL. It will connect 1/20 times. Requires to uninstall and reinstall the app again and still doesn't work most of the time. I feel this app is more catered for the iPhones. It can find the cameras wifi but does not hold it for more than 2 seconds. It worked fine for the first week. Requires a cable most of the time, which is more than inconvenient. I'm likely to return the camera and accessories for a full refund.

Pretty frustrating when a company comes out with a Camera which is very dependent on the app for the features people buy it for only to have a app crashing all the time. It generally let's me put in one or two things before the app just crashes and all your work is now gone!!! I hope to god they come out with updates to fix this because if not I'm stuck with a camera and $399 less. This app will be the death of the Insta360 One X and all the other offerings. Get it together!!!!!!!

The app interface itself is good, although I do have a few issues regarding the software. I noticed that the app icon appears and disappears in my notification bar repeatedly throughout the day, regardless if I have used the app or the camera recently. I don't see any need for this. I've also noticed that when i do a certain chain of actions within the camera settings in app, after taking a picture, the camera becomes stuck "saving" the picture until i manually bremove the battery from the unit

Problems every time I try to use the app or the camera. Video transfer works only 50% of the time when using factory supplied cable. Camera shuts off during a video recording for no reason. No option for video correction, exposure, color, backlighting, etc (IOS version has). Now, I lost pinch zooming in app. I have contacted support since the 3rd day I had the camera. I should have returned this immediately. Now, I am out $450 on a camera and app that was NOT READY FOR RELEASE.

i have a real love/hate relationship with this app. I love the parts that work, but the parts that don't are a drag. Here's my bug list (since the app doesn't really have a feedback link): 1) when you share a 360 photo to Street View, it works fine BUT the axis is screwed up when you view the image on Google Maps (which is why you post to Street View). 2) proceeding video into Street View never seems to complete. it gets to 100% and stops. 3) doesn't install on motto g6 or asus flip Chromebook.

Very challenging trying to edit from app if have any long content the files can be very large and consume internal storage once transferred over via Wifi. It doesn't recognize external storage, Doh... Really I am unable to browse to a location for the media files of my choosing. I found out that I was unable to connect to the device as it requires GPS turned on for location services. I believe this is a Google thing IMHO unnecessary. Come on you don't need my location to run an app.. Well I guess you do. Also wireless needs to be on and maybe BT. As a remote it is a bit pointless as I found out recently if you turn off the screen to save battery it stops recording. Lost some footage. Not sure why the disconnect. Certain features are not available on the desktop like hyperlapse. Overall the app is clunky and needs lot's of improvement. I just use the buttons to start and stop when I want do anything which is not great for photos, but I do video to export an image. Hardware is OK if you do not have sun as you will get a tiny little Red Flare very annoying. I miss Insta360 One as I had little issues with this. Feels very much like a beta product.

Only connects to camera via WiFi after it's been connected via cable. Forgets how to do this after camera turns off. Tells me to connect my phone to the camera's WiFi even after it's connected. The app itself is super slow and unresponsive. It makes no sense that it doesn't work on Chromebooks. Update: now the camera switches to u-disk mode when i use the cable, so I can't connect to it at all.

Love the camera but the app is it's undoing. Unable to even scroll half way through a video before the app crashes. It even changes my phone's wallpaper after it crashes. Have also lost the ability to connect via WiFi completely, and exporting video fails half the time. Great video is not enough to make this a solid product. The app needs to be addressed quickly.
