Easy to install as my husband and I were able to do it ourselves by watching a video. We have good WiFi connection and no issues with the bridge. We've been 4-5 times a day for 5 months with no issues. It works well with Google Home. It is a game changer for us. We did in the beginning have issues locking at times. We have since recalibrated the lock as recommended and it's smooth sailing. Love the ability to unlock from anywhere and let my mother into the house when she spontaneously visits.

It completely ignores GPS, WiFi and bluetooth when deciding to lock the door. It only uses a timer to automatically lock. Doesn't matter if you dont leave gps or wifi, if you go out to mow the lawn or put out the garbage, it will still lock the door. Becomes more of a nuisance than with no smart lock at all - at least before i wasnt getting locked out of my house for mowing the lawn.

I've had an August lock for a number of years now and have found it to be very reliable. The auto unlock for the most part works every time as well which is huge when your hands are full. My only gripe would be when it auto unlocks the door doesn't stay unlocked long enough (1 min). I wish it had an adjustable timer for that feature.

This app does a poor job of controling and setting up the Connect Bridge to the wifi. Between it and the bridge itself, I can't tell which is worse. I feel that since newer models no longer require a bridge for wifi connection that August has simply left us behind as far as updates to this app and firmware updates to the bridge so it would work properly. My Connect bridge works for a while then suddenly starts this cycle of disconnecting and reconnecting over and over again.

4 stars with my only gripe being batteries, 4 AA's. After changing brand new Energizer Max batteries, the August App still tells me they're dead; even if I check the box "yes" in the App I've changed them. Otherwise my August lock has been flawless for roughly 3 years of daily use now, and still strong. I also purchased the August Bridge as well to access via phone/device from anywhere you have service. Big purchase plus for me was Alexa Smart Home compatability and skills with voice commands.

They have been "optimizing" for Android since we purchased the lock 2 years ago. Auto-unlock works 75% of the time. The wifi bridge needs to be power cycled every 2 weeks otherwise it just goes off line. With no apparent way to update the firmware we are just stuck with over 300$ worth of crapy hardware/software. Would not recommend.

Too buggy and unreliable now. I use to love this app. The last few months, the updates cause the door to often not open automatically like it use to when I walk up to it with my phone. When unlocking with the app, its often very delayed. Even worse, it just unlocked the front door and I was even near the door or holding my phone. 😳 Update: 10/3/21 I just changed the batteries and I selected that I changed the batteries in the app it still doesn't recognize it. The August app officially sucks!

Really disappointing experience on Android. Cannot connect to locks, set up codes for other users, etc. App either freezes or displays alert "something went wrong". None of these problems occur on iPad app the same location, but having an iPad shouldn't be a fix for a solution advertised to work with Android.

Lately I've been getting errors for my device going offline. I'm not sure if there was an update that made this problem worse but it's really terrible. I've ensured my batteries are new, my bridge is a few feet from the door. My WiFi connection is good. I almost got locked out of my house the other day. I'm ready to search for a new solution.

The auto-unlock feature is virtually worthless if it often takes as long as several minutes to activate while I stand directly in front of my door. Multiple times, I've pulled my keys out, unlocked the door, come inside, and locked the door behind me, and only THEN does it auto-unlock.
