Latest Dec 6 2021 update causes SSO login to take place through Samsung Internet browser on Samsung devices, despite having the default browser configured to Edge or Chrome. Samsung Internet browser has issues with the SSO login process and login fails. Other apps honor the default browser set in the Android system settings, why was this app changed to not honor that anymore?

Amazing App, literally the same features as desktop all in a clean sleek interfaced! I dont get why there are so many bad reviews, probably because they aren't using the full version which needs to be enabled in the portal. Update. i change ticket status anymore i get a null pointer exception error. Typical Datto

Logging in is always a hassle. I dread needing to work with this app while mobile.

This app is garbage! It's a pain to get logged in because it keeps asking over and over and then when I finally got logged in, it won't let me do anything because this is the free version!

Using Sept 10 2021 release on Galaxy S21 (Qualcomm) I rarely write reviews, but having lost data 3 times in one day (and waiting years for this app to become production ready), I've had enough. Summary: Continues to show inadequate requirements gathering and usability testing. Login workflow bugs persist. To any prospective Datto clients, assume that this is not production ready (or just take heed of the low star count). The good: Resolved previous issue where after entering the MFA key, user would be continuously re-prompted to login again (unless you context switched away from the app). For related issue, please see #3 below. The Bad: More of the same. 1. Android Context Switching results in loss of data: When entering a ticket/note or time entry DO NOT leave the app. While its common in most apps to context switch (ex: to initiate split screen, or to lookup information from an email or text msg), the moment you leave the app or enter "recent app" preview mode, your data is gone and you have to start over. To pre-empt a possible excuse: If local caching is a security concern, the the native ACL security models can be enhanced with in-app encryption libraries. If your developers can't handle the state machine and requisite UI workflows, hire better developers. (After 4 years, my patience for this program is long gone). 2. In-App "back" press results in loss of data: When in the Time/Note Entry, if you inadvertently hit the back button, there is no unsaved data warning prompt. The Android API has a BackButtonInterceptor (among other mechanisms) for this purpose. 3. When using an in-screen fingerprint sensor (Galaxy S21 - Qualcomm), the Android OS "finger" prompt does not appear unless the user first presses on a to-be determined part of the screen. After experiencing the data loss issues above (a couple of times), I have not explored the application further to identify other potential "land mines." I come back to this app once a year to see if it has matured to production ready. Over the years it has remained a liability to only use as a last resort, and is not recommended for our internal use. Going on 4 years of needing a mobile app, I'm exasperated. Datto Staff: No, I will not open a help desk ticket (again). Improve your requirements gathering, QA, and QC processes, and provide an efficient in-app mechanism for submitting bug reports. I have had my fill of repeated "bug reports into the ether" during the pre-Datto acquisition.

Still a broken, awful app after many promises that it's going to be fixed and updated. The latest update has completely broken the app. Me and my tech both get a message that says "server error" when trying to log in.

Awful UX, awful performance...just awful. The navigation buttons move all over the screen instead of staying in place at the bottom. Simple gestures, like swiping left/right on the calendar to change days, are not present. It's clear the AT devs are under qualified. The app is missing simple features that are expected in a modern app. By the way - who decided it was a good idea to bake a version of Google maps directly into the app? It doesn't even work - since it can't find my location!

The login experience is bad, but if you click cancel you can get back to enter your 2fa key. Once logged in, it actually works ok for me so far, but I admittedly haven't used it a lot because it has been such a bad experience prior to the recent update. Would really appreciate an app that is up to par with the competition. If I wasn't locked into another 2 years of contract, I'd be switching to a solution that actually puts a high priority on development. 21st century app is much needed!

Autotask wouldn't know what intuitive UI is, even if the mere concept of it materialized into the physical plane and blessed them with the collective knowledge of literally everyone else post 2010. Seriously, this app is absolutely attrocious to use. Just like the web portal! All I want to do is update my tickets without going to the ticket, edit, save, back, back, back (now at my queue), next ticket, repeat. This app is almost two years out of date. Cant wait to make the switch to Salesforce

The 2FA login in the app makes it almost unusable. Like other reviewers mentioned if you hit login, the 2FA prompt pops up, if you switch to Authy or Google Authenticator to get your code and then switch back, it prompts you to log in again, and you end up with double 2FA prompts. About the only way to log in, is to get your codes from your computer without exiting the Autotask app. Which is pointless. Please fix. Thanks.
