Remote control for your Big Green Egg! Remotely manage and monitor cooking temperatures, monitor the temperature of your food, view graphs of your cooks and receive alerts when your cook is finished or when the EGG temperature is too high or low. The EGG Genius app works with an EGG Genius WiFi Temperature Controller to: • Control the device through your smartphone, tablet or computer to remotely manage and monitor the internal temperature of the EGG • Monitor the temperature of your food; view graphs of your cooks • Receive alerts when your cook is finished or when the EGG temperature is too high or low • Quickly reach your desired cooking temperature as the blower ramps up to fan the lighted charcoal; once the desired temp is reached, the variable speed blower automatically adjusts the blower speed to optimize the set temperature. • Automatically lowers the pit temperature to keep your food warm when the cook is complete. • Detects the sudden temperature drop from opening the dome and turns the fan off temporarily to avoid over-stoking the fire. • In the case of a power outage, the unit continues running at the saved set temperature and reconnects to the WiFi network automatically when power returns. • Use up to 3 meat probes at once – additional meat probes with Y-cable can be purchased separately. • Powered by Flame Boss® Big Green Egg® and EGG® are Registered Trademarks of Big Green Egg Inc.

The update to this app is a huge improvement over the last version. I was able to log in first time and i dont have to re-log in every time app closed. Controller also stays connected better. Please continue to work on ease of use. It would also be helpful to be able to use google login to access my account instead of having to remember a separate password. This becoming what I expected when i purchased the egg fan.

This is the worst app to device connection. It should be a simple set it and it forget without connecting your phone. My phone never can connect to it.

Horrible app! Cannot connect in local wifi mode. Comes up with "blank" wifi fragment. Only works in direct or cloud mode. This app has too many bugs and is released only because it is the only way to control the eggenius. Update! None of the alarms work in this so dont expect your phone to tell you when your food is at temp! Total failure. I got this as a gift but for 200+ dollars? This a Joke!!!!! Update update. App devs let me know a new version is released. Stay tuned for evaluation.

Good idea. Poor execution. Waste of money. Difficult to keep connected. I am very tech savvy. Does not remember user name and passwords. $230 for poor software. Alarms don't work which is a big deal. I was so excited to use this and now I am just utterly disappointed 😞

I've had my EGG Genius about 7 months and am not 100% impressed with it. It's way to quirky. Some days it works amazing and regulates the temp perfectly. Other days it goes offline multiple times throughout a cook and is completely unreliable. I hate that my husband dropped so much money on this item for me not to be totally in love with it. While I love my BGE, their products are overpriced and sub-par.

4 out of 5 very easy setup. I would give it a 5 star rating if the app featured a manual fan control and "fire start up" mode whereby the user can reduce the fan speed for a set period of time while the pit is being ignited. If the fan were able to be set to say, 10%, then starting the grill would be a fire and forget exercise. As opposed to the current situation where you have to start the grill, get the coals burning, manage the fire and then hook up the blower to avoid blowing out the flame.

Easily the biggest waste of money I've ever spent. Not sure if it's the app or the product, but wow. Useless. Called the 1800 number "open Monday - Saturday 9:00 am - 6:00pm EST" Called 3:00 cst, said they were closed. Biggest waste of time. Least intuitive anything I've ever tried before in my life.
