Ice Box - Freeze and hide apps rarely used. If your device is already rooted, you can install and use it directly. If there is no root, you need to go through a very complicating operations to enable Ice Box. Please read the full description before making decision. Non Root Setup: http://iceboxdoc.catchingnow.com/Device%20Owner%20(Non%20Root)%20Setup After setting up with the help of computer Ice Box will grant the "Device Owner" permission to freeze/defrost apps. Please do not grant "Device Administrator" permission manually on phone and it will not work. You can uninstall IceBox in its settings anytime if you do not want to use it anymore. Ice Box is a box to freeze and store the apps you rarely used. Apps in box will be HIDDEN from launcher and won't be able to steal your battery or cellular data in background. You can easily launch them from Ice Box, just like launch from a home screen folder. They'll be frozen automatically after screen lock or back to launcher and can't do anything in background. Fantastic app. Does the job without any hiccups. All those battery hungry and non essential apps are neatly frozen away. It's a shame some are leaving negative feedback for such a useful app. I tried this on multiple devices and it works flawlessly and is part of my must have android tools list.

No root, works perfectly! The setup process was quite complicated (OnePlus device), however the docs have enough information to do this. My favorite feature is the ability to create a shortcut for a frozen app on the launcher.

Super useful and working well when rooted. Would be nice to have a 'Unfreeze All' option so I can update my frozen apps.

Fantastic tool! It's been so helpful to disable apps and keep fast food apps, etc. on reserve for when they're necessary. Shizuku support ftw! Samsung kept disabling tools that utilized Knox so hopefully this is never interfered with. Could you add the ability to auto alphabetically sort apps when they're added?

After latest update , when I reboot my mobile , the simple adb not working pop up come . Even though simple adb command is active in laboratory option. N I have given multiple adb command permission.

This app is amazing. It's perfectly designed for one task and one task only, freezing apps that you rarely use and don't want running in the background but making sure they are there when needed. It supports icon packs and the user experience is great! It saves a ton of time that I spent freezing and unfreezing apps via Link2SD.

I really like this app, but I've updated this review to address an issue I'm having; and I am not sure if it's because the with the app: Under my Google Contacts, I keep having a new category appear titled, "ICE". I've tried deleting this several times but it keeps reappearing in my Google Contacts. Now Ice Box doesn't have any contacts permission, so I'm trying to get to the bottom of the issue, why it would keep reappearing. Would appreciate the developer reaching out.

one of the most useful apps (for rooted devices) there is. so easy to use and launch freezed apps that I found myself freezing most of my apps. whenever i want to use my parking app, public scooter app, aliexpress, amazon, ebay, bank app, etc. etc. I simply launch it from the freezer, use it and freeze it back. no more apps eating up my battery everyday just so i can use them once a week. Love it.
