If you absolutely need remote control this app is better than what GoPro offers. It's a bit confusing getting it to connect to the camera and I'm still not entirely sure how I made it happen. It allows you to start and stop recording as well as take pictures remotely. There are a TON of options, buttons, and features--most of which seem to be for other camera models--cluttering the screen of the app. If dev could get camera preview to work somehow that would be killer. 90% of the reason I bought this camera was for that only to find that GoPro's app is garbage. For now I'll make due using the button on the camera itself and keep an eye on this app for progress.

At least it installs (unlike official GoPro on my Hero+ which is "no longer supported"!!!), however can't seem to pair it because phone uses home wifi already and can't figure out how to find the darn thing. Would have been far better if it used bluetooth, but that's on GoPro. Nice app from the video, but not using due to hassle pairing.

Great have found an app that still talks to my old Hero 3+ Black! It's a bit laggy, but so was the original app by Gopro. Brilliant to able to control the settings from my phone. Thanks! 👍😎

All the remote functions se to wprk, but i can't see a preview of what the camera sees, which is the whole point for me. Also the cera got locked recording amd couldn't be switched off, i had to pull the battery out.

Couldn't find my hero 3÷. Gopros wifi was on and phone connected but app would not connect to camera.

The Wi-Fi video function that wirelessly shows footage from your GoPro onto your phone does not work for GoPro Hero 4 black or silver
