App is amazing. Over the years I've had from the old telementry systems up the the garmin astro and alpha unit's. I will admit I was cautious about the dogtra pathfinder when it first came out. I wish I wouldn't have been. In my opinion the dogtra is very far ahead of the garmin alpha series. I enjoy the ease of use, the collars connect to the unit faster than my astro and alpha's did. The best part of all is the maps. Dogtra knocked it out of the park with the patfinder.

I bought this system used, still have it almost a year later and always has worked like a charm for me. Haven't had really any issues with the collar, remote, or the app. I won't run no other system than dogtra pathfinder, so much less of a hassle and easy to use

The app is great and easy to use. In some areas the system may struggle to get range if the terrain is too hilly or the timber is too thick. The maps are the best feature by far but it would be nice if you could get property boundary and owner info.

Pairing to your phone every time is a major hassle. Made worse because they buried the pairing option way down at the very bottom of the settings tab. It is quite cumbersome to navigate there when you dog needs to go out and you just took the remote off it's charger. Or your phone lost its paring and now your fog is running towards the road or other danger.

Having issues with the collars always showing "offline" in the Android App on Samsung S20FE. Collars are successfully paired to the receiver. Restarting the application, restarting the phone, reconnecting the collar to the receiver, takes 15-20 minutes to get it working each time I use it. Frustrated and likely to be returned. Other Dogtra Collars without the app don't have these issues. This review was written while on hold to the customer support line - after 15 minutes of being told:1st in line, left message to be called back. Will update review IF call back and issue resolved.

I love the system, however it really bothers me that the color will not sync half the time and you have to turn it off and back on over and over Update 10 10 2021, I would love to order more collars, but once again I am setting here, resetting everything and the collar will not show up on the app. I have paired the collar to the controller 3 times, and it still says it is off line. This will go on for a half hour or more, and then finally it will show the collar on line.

A family member bought this thinking that it would have the option to use it as kindof a invisible fence instead of just noticing that the dog left the area. If any of the devs read these PLEASE add the option to auto shock if the dog leaves the area. I have everything set up for it I just need the option for it. I almost want to return it but I'm holding out a little longer for you. Please add it!

I run beagles for rabbits in the hills of western Arkansas and this system performs flawlessly. Would definitely recommend to anyone that uses dogs for hunting. Gives you peace of mind knowing exactly where your hounds are.

Love this collar. I never worry about losing my dog! Very user friendly and lots of YouTube videos to help you along the way..works on any hunting dog from hound to bird dog..

Was working really well. Then out of the blue started acting up. I've had to restart everything in the middle of a hunt, and there's been a line popping up out of nowhere that says it's my travels which it certainly isn't. Not on a cheapy phone either. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. If it wasn't for the freezing and weird travel routes that never happened, popping up, I'd give 5 stars, but if it continues I may look for another unit.
