No root needed: When I plug my phone into a computer, it no longer shows the three options (including using my phone as Midi) which are useless to me, and instead shows the Tethering settings. In addition it makes sure Wi-Fi is enabled, so that I won't repeat that mistake and eat my whole monthly data credits. Perfect. I have no clue why it's not working exactly like that by default.

App definitely works and makes my life easier. you can set it to turn on usb tethering and/or open your tethering settings when plugged in. You need superuser acces and make sure you restart your phone once set up. I dont think the low rating people did this step!

It is perfect. I just want to save a couple clicks when plugging phones in. Opening the tether screen saves me a moment every few minutes for the rest of my life, thanks!!!

I have a non-rooted Note9. This app opens my tether screen when (and only when) it senses a computer connected ( not charging of my monitor or car). A solid app!

My phone is not rooted so it doesn't auto tether, but it makes the tether setting pop up when I connect my phone to my computer which is quite handy for me.

I've granted it root but it doesn't work at all except opening the tethering menu. What a waste of time.

usb auto tethering don't work for me on android 6, When I connect cable root access is granted but "usb tethering" remains disabled.
