For people who are trying to grasp the universe and all it contains (or beyond), this is fantastic! I can't afford to pay for upgrades, so I'm on the basic level. However, there is so much information they give for free, that you'll learn far more than you realise. By tweaking settings, you'll learn to recognise different components of the night sky, easily find how they look as we move around them, & explore the heavens even on cloudy nights. I highly recommend it. And no ads. Brilliant!

I discovered this app many years ago, then got a series of phones that (I learned after buying them) didn't have compass or gyroscope. The app was still useful, but this time I made sure I had a phone that let me use this app. It's so nice to be able to use it to its full potential again! I absolutely love being able to point my phone at a star and know it instantly. Where I live now, not many stars make it through the city lights, so it's a precious gift to know which is which.

I absolutely love 😍 Star Chart. I've used them for years and when I get a new phone it's an app I MUST DOWNLOAD! because I love star gazing and wherever I am I can pull out my phone and see what star ... or planet that is. My absolute favorite part is how they show the consolations in such a beautiful artistic way that you'll never look at the night sky the same way again. Download it; I promise you'll love it.

one of my favourite apps, i use it all the time whenever the sky is clear at night! they have AR mode which allows you to see the particular area of the night sky that you point your device to. all constellations, planets, galaxies etc are labelled, accurately positioned & even include descriptions as well as metrics. there are zero ads & it is so easy to use, with even more features both with and without the upgrades

It is very useful to me, however, it won't load on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 as it hangs on the Hydrogen Logo. I downloaded the app from Google Play Store, presumably it is compatible. This is frustrating! I have trouble seeing these details on these tiny phone screens, I expected a 10" tablet would alleviate that stress... instead I am revising my rating down from 5*.

Can't get the sky mode to work. It doesn't move with my phone as I point it at the sky. It's just stationary and I can move it with my fingers but it won't tell me what I'm pointing at live. Not much use that way.

Now I can Identify the Stars again. I had a medical thing that caused me to have memory loss. I know all my planets and stars before and have been very frustrated not being able to recall them. I have been amazed to find that most people couldn't help me because they never knew. Now I have an ever present reminder and teacher. As I work with this aoo I am discovering so many additions that talk about finding it, defining it. Thats a big relief and utility to me tryoing to learn the sky again.
