WHAT IS FLUENT FOREVER?
A revolutionary language learning method developed by Gabriel Wyner, an opera singer who needed to learn multiple languages quickly and retain them forever. Fluent Forever's products have evolved from pronunciation trainers into a bestselling book and now into the most crowdfunded app in history. Discover the immersive mobile experience designed to rewire your brain into fluently speaking any new language and hack your memory to remembering it forever.
...................
HOW IS FLUENT FOREVER BETTER?
Rather than distract or briefly entertaining you like other "gamified" language apps out there, Fluent Forever doesn't waste your time with inefficient "bite size" lessons - instead, it immediately gets you correctly pronouncing and hearing the sounds of your target language, then efficiently has you learn the most frequently used words and push them into your longterm memory, and finally has you naturally build sentences using words you know and practice your speech to fluency. In short, if you're serious about speaking a new language, Fluent Forever will get you there faster.
...................
FLUENT FOREVER'S FOUR STEP METHOD
The foundation of our proven method, as detailed in Gabe's bestselling book, is based on the principles of personalized flashcard creation and spaced repetition, extremely powerful learning tools that optimize your brain’s memory abilities. So not only will you learn a language quickly, you’ll never forget it.
1. Train Your Ears With Pronunciation Lessons
You need to learn what a language sounds like before you can learn how to speak it. Our powerful tools like detailed instructional videos, mnemonic imagery and minimal pair tests will train your ears in the sound system of your new language.
2. Learn Vocabulary Through Images Instead of Translations
Within weeks you will understand the sounds of your new language, and you can begin learning words. By creating personalized flashcards using our memorable word association system, you will rapidly learn the most used words in your new language. You will then push these new words into your long term memory by reviewing your flashcards using our automated spaced repetition system.
3. Learn Grammar Naturally Through Stories Relevant To You
Once you learn the most used words in your language you can begin learning sentences. By visualizing how your new words fit into sentences about topics you’re interested in, you will naturally learn grammar through immersive stories, as opposed to boring lessons or complex conjugation tables. You will never be forced to learn words or grammar you don’t need or want to learn.
4. Practice Your Speech to Fluency with Native Tutors
Fluency in speech is not the ability to know every word and grammatical formation in a language; it’s the ability to use whatever words and grammar you know to say whatever’s on your mind. Our method structures tutoring sessions efficiently using information you've learned, so that you don’t waste an extra minute re-hashing something that you already discussed in a previous session.

Most of the negative feedback I see here are from people that clearly haven't watched the videos in "The Method" section of the app. As a polyglot, I've no doubt that FF is the best language learning method out there, but new users need to understand the method in order to reap its true benefits. FF also has an excellent book and blog with more info. Advanced users: this is the only app/method out there for you, but you need to understand the method!

Requires a credit card for a "free trial". Just enter "a few details" -- just your address and credit card number, to be specific, and an agreement for it to charge the card it indefinitely. I smell a scam here. If it was good then surely it would actually offer its "free trial" for free.

Just.... rubbish. For a start, there was no trial period. Each pay up front, or you can't even try it. But once subscribed, I realised, this is a dreadful app, particularly if you already have some German knowledge, and want to progress. It's just so time-wasting. Show me some words, test me on them, then show me them in use, and repeat... don't just show me a new word, ask me which image I want for them ? "Spring, March, Twenty, River, To Melt"... why are words grouped into completely unrelated sets ?! This app spends more time showing videos about why it's so good, rather than actually BEING good. In their marketing, the say, "Our technique is rooted in advanced neuroscience to accelerate your journey to fluency." What a load of rubbish. Uninstalled, unsubscribed, and unrecommended. Just, dreadful. The worst language app I've seen.

A pretty good system that really can teach you how to pronounce and phrase things like a native speaker much better than the other popular ones out there. The amount of repetition seems silly ay first, but every time you hear the sentence, you gain a better 'ear' for what sounds right-- the exact way children immersed in that language gain their 'natural' facility.

This is a fun and effective way of learning a language. I surprise myself at the things I remember. I'm hoping they will continue to update and add features to the app.

I did love this app but I changed phones and can't login. When I try to reset my password your app states that I will receive an email but the email never comes. I really like this app. Please help me. What is your email address?

It's a good app for beginners, but I was kind of let down by the lack of grammar training. I understand that they say that reading the vocabulary sentences unconsciously teaches you grammar, but I'm not so sure. I wholeheartedly recommend this app for people who are complete beginners or advanced beginners because it teaches you pronunciation tips (which is invaluable) , but if you're advanced, then it is likely just going to be an app where you review vocabulary.

Uninstalled. Didn't get a chance to give the app a fair shake - couldn't register. Why bother anyway for a two week trial?!? They don't state in the description what the subscription price is (surely it's a subscription since that's the fad these days), but it's certain to be too high for my taste. This seems to be just a webpage landing spot anyway - why have an app except for $$$$$. Uninstalled.

I'm Canadian and even though I took French classes from Grades 1-11, I still can't really speak French. I've used the app for 6 days now and it's already helping with my pronunciation. I really like the use of the phonetic alphabet - it really helps with perfecting the pronunciations since I can compare the sounds to other words even if the spelling is very different. I probably learned better pronunciation in the last 6 days than in all my years of school. I'm planning to keep my subscription.

Have been using this app just fine for a couple months but now it won't take my payments. I talked to Google and they say it lists pending. My bank sees no record of the attempted purchase. I can make purchases elsewhere in Google Play without issue. What's going on here? If I can't pay for the subscription I won't be able to use the app and after multiple attempts I'm worried it'll try to charge me a bunch of times. EDIT: Carla from Support helped get me sorted, so I'm changing my review. Thanks, Carla! Payment issues aside, this is a nice app to accompany the book and saves a ton of time that would otherwise be spent in Anki. My only issue is that some of the progression is a little too quick - for example, the app speeds through a bunch of concepts in Korean but doesn't help you remember them (like spelling rules) with the same care it gives to creating vocabulary.
