Very easy to use, just gets you from A to B without all the extras. You still get route and time options on the go, and a simplified map, hence the data saving. It also seems to draw less power than the full Google Maps, so my phone will fully charge whilst using it. It hasn't let ne down yet abd I have a seven year old Sony phone.

Thank you google for making go version of google maps. Similarly makes lite & go version of all your Google apps. This all go & lite apps must support phones like samsung galaxy core 2 duos mobile. This apps must run even in 3G network but with little high speed. And please add new games in your app named Google Play Games. For this add touchscreen games which were previously found on google play store. You can add games which has kilobytes size. Best games are (.nes) & (.jar) games. Add them.

.everyone needs to discover this app because everyone can immensely benefit from it ! Just the directions alone with voice navigation , and more detail like traffic or construction , etc Which is a constant here in Houston. I love that it is lighter than Google Maps and does not need a speedy WiFi connection and it doesn't eat up your memory. You can also get phone numbers and more pertinent information much quicker and easier in this app. My favorite part is the discovery of new places.

Same freakin' problem as with Google Maps in general.... YOU CAN'T SEE THE ROADS ON THE MAP!! I honestly don't know what kind of supernatural eyes the developers have because there's no contrast between the white roads and the white background. Other than the main highways, all I see are street names on a sea of white. It's supposed to be a freakin' map! Let us see the actual MAP!

Tried it after everyone posted how small and streamlined it was. Then it notified me it also needs Google navigation installed which now turns it into the same as Google maps in program size just with less features. Also doesn't tell you upon installation that you need Google Chrome installed for to work. I'll just stick with Google maps keep it simple and easy

My Pixel 3a is starting to show its age unfortunately, and with that the main app makes my phone extremely laggy and causes other background apps to freeze or crash. Go on my phone acts as if the app isn't even running! Also something that is worth mentioning that will make me a perma user of this app, even on a brand new phone, is the fact that navigation and the map are two separate app instances. You can navigate the map and keep navigation open individually. No more accidental closures!!

Doesn't have the option in Israel to navigate as a private vehicle and not as a taxi or bus. Waze does but they don't show which lanes you need for a turn. Regular maps as well can't find a route that it has found before. The update on my Note 20 Ultra and with the last maps update have completely screwed the pooch on this one. It's becoming obsolete due to lack of response to fix these problems.

Equivalent to (pilot) flying and "Memorax), have previewed with Street View places which then flash total deja-vous On first actual physical presence. . . also can do "run through" of never been to complicated Freeway Interchanges then drive them without glance at a map

Brilliant app! It not only provides directions and traffic conditions in the Colorado mountains, it also offers directions with time and distance on walking and hiking trails, bike routes, and back country ski trails. Keep up the great work, Google!

Very slow running and every time I open the app it's very difficult to pin and share my current location. Always have to calibrate first. I'm just going to stick to the original app
