*** Formerly known as Photo Grid/Frame Widget *** This is my first Android app. Basically I want to replicate the grid-style photo widget from HTC so it can be used by other phones or in AOSP ROM. I developed the widget and tested it on my HTC Incredible S. If you're interested, please install it in other phones of different brand and screen size. If you encounter any issues, please feel free to report here or give me a PM. Or if you have any request for new features, I'll also consider in future versions. Features: Resizable & scrollable grid view / photo frame mode / stack mode Support lockscreen widget in JellyBean (Android 4.2 and up) Configurable slideshow interval for frame mode Supports JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, MPO, JPS for image files Support 3GP, MP4, TS, WEBM, MKV for video files (http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/media-formats.html) Configurable file types & filename filter Selectable photo album from internal/external storage Individual file selection Can choose a specific installed app to launch for full screen image view or video playback Image file details in preview mode (Filename, image dimension, file size and video duration) Tween animation in frame mode (fade / slide) ** even better slide effect if navigation arrows are hidden ** Support different settings in multiple widget instances Two different image styles - Scale whole image / Crop to fit User define image border width and color Thumbnail size options Display order options App to change widget settings on the fly Tasker integration Requires ICS (Android 4.0) or above Permissions WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - store thumbnails for grid view to improve performance READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - read thumbnails for grid view RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED - restart services for auto refresh and register alarm manager for slideshow WAKE_LOCK - keep phone awake during background thumbnail generation VIBRATE - vibrate when thumbnail is selected

So far this is the best frame that I have come across in the Playstore. I am very happy and had to get the paid version. It has beautiful frames and you can play around with the settings. I like that it lets you choose a particular folder or lets you shuffle all the photos.

Been looking for a widget like this for ages. My old Xperia phone had a scrollable photo carousel widget, but it doesn't work on modern Android. This does largely the same thing and a lot more. Could have a better UI and it does have some bugs (adding nested folders doesn't seem to work), but once it is setup it works quite well.

Old but works perfectly on Android 11! The best way to enjoy a pretty stack of photos of your last fun event.

Would work a lot better if it used the Gallery style interface to locate photos instead of just replicating the file structure - I've been using computers for 3 decades and mobile devices don't make it easy to keep track of their file structure, esp. when apps like photo editor, Gallery, or the various social media apps create new folders on their own.

I like it. Pretty good substitute, in stack mode, to the original Sony carrousel however very jerky and thats the first issue. Another one is a missing option to set the stack with the newest on top, that would be handy. Also the settings menu should be more user friendly. Otherwise well done. Thank you

I wish there was a way for stack to finish on most recent picture. As it rolls around it makes difficult to pinpoint where the beggining or the end is. A little shaky transition on stack mode. Otherwise brilliant.

This is how you do it. Random pictures from any folder you want, alter interval time, frame size, frame colour, info on/off screen, lots of set up options but keeps it simple. Recommended app.

App is pretty awesome. Add the ability to shuffle photos and I'll add the last star. Edit: Randomize already existed. Just had to change the display order to random. Awesome job!

Just what I've been looking for. Works great, although I'd love to see recursive selection as a new feature. Still, thanks for a very good and useful app!

I really like this widget, and it runs great on newer high powered phones. Would love to see an updated version with thumb nail sizes to match new hi red displays.
