Installation was easy. Sound levels functioned as expected. EQ hasn't functioned as described and any changes don't remain. Would be nice to have a "how to adjust" manual. New problem: app will not connect to the eon one compact, message says the app will only connect to eon one connect loudspeaker.

Sucks, can't do anything since most of the selections are greyed out including the update app button. Also, even though I'm connected to an eon one a pop up warning me that this app only works with eon one and blocks the entire screen

In the beginning it was working well but Now it's a WASTE. VERY DISAPPOINTED with it. I choose this speaker after a research with the BOSE. PLEASE FIX IT ASAP.

Recently bought my eon one compact, after downloading the app it made controlling and adjusting the sound much better. Haven't had any issues with the app crashing or having the need to sign up with JBL before using the app. Edit: There was a recent software update on the speaker and and along with that comes connectivity issues. It happens just about about all the time now; when having your app open on stand by it will lose connection. Time varies, it can happen in as little as 1 min or 4.

This works great EXCEPT: having the "link/unlink" button arbitrarily near the "mixer" button is a bad choice, especially for smaller screens. There's PLENTY of room, and switching back and forth from mixer to home (which is the location of master volume) makes for potential problems.

Connected once and saw the mixer only once. Now it won't ever show up after I start playing music on Spotify. Pretty bad experience when you can do anything with the app after purchasing a not cheap item. But at least the app was free i guess 🤷🏻

I wasted my money on two jbls so inconvenient to use with app, takes forever to pair, then when you come back from your break it takes 20 minutes to pair again. So disappointed I hate the setup plus they do not work with two speakers without the app.

Why would you need to request location access just to connect using Bluetooth? Totally unnecessary requirements! People don't want you to use them for your analytics or spyware.

Update: Took about 15 tries but finally got the firmware updated. Now it works great, but what a frustrating pain in the butt to get to that point. Come on JBL. Let's make this app just work. The same cut and pasted answer to 10 different complaints is not working. I've added it as a trusted device. I still can't get to the mixer. Very disappointed. Had really high hopes from great reviews. But this is not user friendly at all. If you give the same useless cut and paste review I'm probably just going to return the speaker.

While I faced many similar challenges as others, I now have both of my EON Compact One speakers in full stereo. The app is buggy, for sure, but keep in mind that Bluetooth data transfer (not just audio) is complicated. People just need to be a bit more patient. I will say this, these speakers, in full working mode, sound amazing. They are very efficient and and have great sensitivity. They are very much worth purchase. They are smaller, so don't expect to get the gain from the system for large crowds. But, I love the clarity with help from the apps 5-band parametric EQ [7-bands with the "Bass" (120 Hz, 1.41 Q, no Q variability) and "Treble" (4.5 kHz, 1.41 Q, no Q variability)] A couple of findings for you to keep in mind 1. You must turn off the "Audio" from one side of the "Dual Audio" bluetooth. I remove the audio from the "remote" speaker (set in BT Broadcast settings). 2.Though the speakers are connected to the my Android phone via bluetooth, the app struggles with linking. It took me some fiddling to get the connection stable. 3. Each speaker has separate gain control and EQ settings. I don't believe these settings are mirrored between the "Host" and the "Remote" speakers. 4. You can rename the speaker names in the app which is nice. The app doesn't incorporate the name given, if changed, in your Bluetooth settings. 5. When in "BT Broadcast" mode, tap the speaker icon, of both speakers, to activate it to by associated with the other speaker. 6. Associating speakers did not work for me unless I had the same firmware version on both speakers (currently 5.1.1). 7. You must have a phone with the Dual Bluetooth music settings for stereo to work. I can't recall which Android version incorporated Dual Bluetooth mode (5.0??) I hope this helps. Buy these speakers. The sound is spectacular.
