Monitor and track your weight, BMI, body fat, body water, muscle and other body metrics in an open source app that:

* has an easy to use user interface with graphs,

* doesn't require you to create an account,

* can be configured to only show the metrics you care about, and

* respects your privacy and lets you decide what to do with your data.

openScale has built-in support for a number of Bluetooth (BLE or "smart") scales from many manufacturers, e.g. Beurer, Sanitas, Yunmai, Xiaomi, etc. (see model list below). Together with our users we constantly improve and extend the set of supported scales and in many cases pick up where the original app falls short.

For scales without Bluetooth, or Bluetooth scales not (yet) supported by openScale, measurements can be manually entered in a quick and easy way.

This app has no ads and requests no unnecessary permissions. The location permission is only needed to find a Bluetooth scale. Once found the permission can be revoked (or never granted if Bluetooth isn't used).

Weight, BMI (body mass index), body water, muscle, LBM (lean body mass), body fat, bone mass, waist circumference, waist-to-height ratio, hip circumference, waist-hip ratio, visceral fat, chest circumference, thigh circumference, biceps circumference, neck circumference, body fat caliper and BMR (basal metabolic rate). Each entry can also have an optional comment.

don't worry if you think the list is too long: metrics you don't use can be disabled and hidden.

- Resizable widget to show the latest measurement on the home screen

- Configure your weight unit: kg, lb or st

- Set a goal to help keep your diet

- Displays all your data on a chart and in a table to track your progress

- Evaluates measurements and gives a quick visual feedback to show you if you're within or outside the recommended range given your age, sex, height etc.

- Import or export your data from/into a CSV (comma separated value) file

- Supports body fat, body water and lean body mass estimations based on scientific publications. Useful if your scale doesn't support those measurements.

- Support for multiple users

- Partially or fully translated into Catalan, Chinese (traditional), Czech, Dutch, English, French, Galician, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian Bokmål, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish

Great, easy to use and looks good, easy to see the data in graphs etc. So much better than the crappy New iWellness app that I'm supposed to use with my Diki scale. Except after working perfectly first time now it connects but doesn't seem to receive any data. I have tried restarting my phone but no luck. 5 stars once I can get that fixed. Edit: It's randomly started working again!

Not very happy with it but at least it works with muy scales because the original app doesn't. Recently the bluetooth connection worsend. It downloads only current data and only if I am weighing myself at the same moment. Several weeks ago it was dowloading any undowloaded data at any moment. I also don't like the graphs scaling.

The developer disabled the Bluetooth on the free version, forcing you to pay for it. No changes or upgrades, just a move to force you to pay for what you had for free. I don't even know why call it "open" scale then. If money was the problem, there are several other solutions than this.

Brilliant! I have a set of aquarius Bluetooth bathroom scales, which were pretty much useless as the bespoke app wouldn't open without crashing. I thought they were destined for the bin until I found this app, and I'm able to track my bmi and weight again. Thanks to the developers for making my scales usable again.

i just wanted something to track my weight and this does that. Taking a star off because the "weight" always shows as red even though it is in the green. i thought that used to work. It is really jarring when I see that every day and makes that experience bad every day

Huge improvement on Sanitas official app — how Sanitas have an app with flakier connection than a 3rd party is beyond me. Only issue is setting up a user with this app is also somewhat flaky. Seems to require very specific order of operations — resetting the scales alone did not add the user added on the app to the scales.

Only shows BMI and weight. Everything else shows as 0%. What am i doing wrong? Bluetooth connects fine to my Aquarius scales and app works slightly better than KeepFit app which was useless. But still missing all other parameters. EDIT *** changed to a PAID app. No good anymore as I cannot turn on Bluetooth without this upgrade. uninstalled.

Nice clean app for tracking weight and related health statistics. I would have given 5 stars but the last update broke Bluetooth connectivity with my Xiaomi Mi Scale 2. It initially connects but then immediately closes the connection. It had worked flawlessly before the update.

I know people have to eat, but Wish the developer hadn't made an update removing features that existed, especially with the 'open' moniker. Just adding a donate button and/or ads would have kept up the rating and not felt like a kick in the balls.

Sometimes requires a restart to get data...But, it's free and doesn't require login into a server. With so many companies going put of business and making their product worthless. A huge plus.
