Hulu has become unusable with ads that freeze up. I use this app to cast to my TV and the ads always end up freezing on a black screen. (And if you restart you lose your place in the show, have to try to jump to where you were, watch 20 min of ads in the process, and usually end up back where you started stuck on a black screen). I got fed up with this and started watching Hulu on my Xbox instead, but now it's doing the same thing! Had to give up even trying to watch Hulu, it just doesn't work.

Hard to believe how bad this app has become. When you stop a show in the middle somewhere and resume later, it will either start that episode from the beginning, or skip to the next episode. When you finish an episode, instead of going to the next one in the series, it just repeats the one you just watched. This app never did any of this, now suddenly it does. Is anyone awake over there in the Hulu IT department?

Terrible experience lately! It won't let me pick up where I left off. It starts the episodes or movie over from the beginning or skips back multiple episodes. I'm about done throwing my money at a streaming service that is more concerned with placing and getting people to watch ads instead of making sure customers are getting a great experience. I'm sure that's one of the reasons it starts from the beginning because of course everything starts with an ad.

I love the shows on Hulu but hate the streaming system itself. I stream through Xfinity and whenever watching a series, if I pause an episode or even finish an episode when i go back to watch again my start place is way into the next season!!! Like skipping 8 to 10 episodes. I've tried manage series and it makes it worse. When I go to stop watching I now write down where I left off. Major issue. I have Prime, Netflix, HBO max, Showtime, britbox, acorn, and Stars and they have all figured it out.

I get error codes every day. I have been using this app when I travel. It used to work great but now all of a sudden it won't work half the time when I'm on cellular data. I've uninstalled and reinstalled app, powered down my phone, double checked all my mobile settings and still only works a hand full of times. The whole point of me getting the app is so i can use it on mobile data. I even upped my data package. This is rediculous!

This review is for the Android TV version. The app is absolutely horrible! I don't know where I would go to review it on the tv, so I decided to come here. It won't play the show without bars, or sometimes it's just a blank screen. There have been many reports online about this but no solution from Hulu. Really considering cancelling subscription since I can't watch anything. Is there any official we can report this company to?Save your money everyone, get something else.

Absolute garbage, skips and buffers constantly, freezes on open, closes down instead of doing a window like Netflix does, :) useless. Also takes 59 hours just to OPEN the app. Just sits on the logo forever and eventually decides to open and then eventually decides to play anything. Remind me again why I bother paying for this service.

The app will NOT hold your place if you minimize it to, for example, answer a text. I frequently have to minimize the app during an episode playing in the background at work to answer messages, calls, etc. And when I open it back up, the episode will start from the beginning and I have to fast forward to where I was before. Super annoying.

App is decent. The layout is a little difficult to navigate. What I really hate is that subtitles don't stay on! Sometimes they stay on with autoplay on the following episodes, but not often. And I have to turn them on every time I open the app to play something initially.

It works, but it's annoying I put together a watch list and my most frequently watched shows or shows with new episodes are buried in the mix. Would make better sense if they were in some type of order. I also have an issue with if watching on my phone and a call comes thru or even me having to pause for a few minutes sends me right back to the beginning of the show, it doesn't remember my place and i have to watch 2 minutes of ads AGAIN just to be able to fast forward back to where I was.
