Sometimes I can watch recordings and sometimes I can't. Says box in standby but option to turn box on via app won't work. If I do manage to watch a recorded item via app and it stops I have to watch from the begining ...no way of going forward. What is the point of this app....I may as well watch on catch up or on the box itself if I want to scroll past the ads. Also old version of app used to allow you to tell your box to record a program even if you were not at home.

I first reviewed this app critically as I thought it wasn't working. I now have to change that to a very positive review it sends record details to my schedule on the pvr so 5/5 from me...

Even though many people are posting this app doesn't work, it does. Make sure you get a myhumax account, register your device via setting menu. In advanced settings server management make sure network server is on. Make sure it's activation time is set eg. 00:01 - 23:59. Then you'll see it working fairly well.

Oh dear, oh dear. This app fails regularly. Keeps dropping out. It is not capable of working properly with latest versions of Android. It looks like a throwback to Win 95.

The Humax Freeview box is an excellent piece of equipment, and I thought the experience would continue with the "Live TV App". Wrong. It requires the Humax box to be up and running, so you might just as well ignore the app anyway. The next time I logged in I had to reset my password and that my account would be deleted if unused for 12 months. The app kindly gave me the cut-off date, unbelievably ...2 January 2019. 2 years in the past! I will remove the app rather than waste any more time on it.

Really disappointing. Don't bother. As an ex Sky user moving to Freeview, I thought this app would provide the ability to record programmes when I'm not at home. Like I had with Sky. But it doesn't link to the Humax recorder at all unless I'm in the house with my phone logged into the same WiFi. What's the point of that? I can't see the point of this app at all and will be uninstalling it. Really disappointing. I emailed the developers to see if I was using it wrongly but they haven't replied.

This app had the potential to be great. Unfortunately, the live TV and recording playback can only be done if you are at home and on the same WiFi. My in-laws have bought a Freeview PVR made by someone else, which does allow TV playback anywhere with an internet connection, so it can be done. The latest version... nearby 2 years old broke the navigation bar for recording playback, so it is impossible to jump to where you left off last time. I've installed the Oct 17 version to work around this.

What they don't mention is you can either have the option to watch live tv and your (SD) recordings at home or the ability to set recordings outside the home. You can't do both. You can only log in on WIFI, it won't recognise your login details if you're on mobile data. If you go for the option of setting recordings outside the home, choosing HD TV from the drop down list in the TV guide gives a blank list. Choose TV and scroll down to the bottom of the list to find the HD channels.

App only works if I'm at home connected to my own wifi network and if the freeview recorder is on,not in standby mode. Cannot remotely turn on my device from standby mode to record or watch TV from a mobile device. Do not see the point of this app. If I must be connected to my own network might as well use the remote control that came with my freeview recorder. Very disappointed.👎
