Alerta Guate is the official emergency communication app of the Government of Guatemala. Once downloaded and activated by creating an account, Residents and Visitors alike will receive location-specific alerts during emergencies and natural disasters containing instructions and other life saving time-sensitive information. When receiving the information is critical, users will receive an audible alert on their phone, even when set to “silent” or “do not disturb.” App users can also use Alerta Guate to immediately connect to emergency assistance personnel through the app’s SOS button over WiFi when cellular services are not available. El app me funciona bien, pero lo dueños la usan como si fuera Twitter o Facebook poniendo mensajes irrelevantes a cada rato, sería bueno que usen está app para lo que la diseñaron y dicen que es. Mientras tanto solo es una fábrica de spam en la notificaciones en el teléfono.
