Following are the steps how to make a timelapse movie from your selfies
1. Create the project which is dedicated to specific topic ("My selfies", "My child is growing")
2. Add a photo by one of existing methods: using a camera, adding single photo in event or importing a whole folder on your phone or by sending a photos from Gallery app.
3. Remove photos that are not appropriate for selected project.
4. Open a screen to make a movie. Specify settings of your movie: framerate, quality, printing a date on each frame. You can also make a timelapse movie for certain period
5. Tap on the button "Make video" and wait until all operations will be done. *
If you'd like to take selfie everyday, you can add a widget on your homescreen for certain event. When you open it, the camera will be opened on your phone and after you capture a photo it will be added into that event. Also you can enable notifications if you think that you can forget to do that.
* You can see a progress of each operation in notification in the status bar of your phone.
** Note that the picture must have approximately the same foreshortening. Try to make a picture with the same distance. It also would be better if you place your face approximately in the center of a frame. It's not neccessary, but it will increase a percent of successfully imported photos into the app.
*** If you're going to use the app for a long period, it would be better to you to use Dropbox synchronization that is implemented in the BearFace For Selfies. It's also very useful if your're going to use several devices with the same Dropbox account.

I don't think I've ever been less satisfied with a paid app. Very unintuitive, and requires constant fumbling with settings, and trial and error. I had hoped to make a time lapse with a year's worth of my daughter's pictures, but the resulting video simply plays a basic slideshow, with no focus on the face. Worse, it compresses some photos so even the disappointing slideshow is not usable. I was happy to find this app, but my search for a decent face timelapse app continues.

Great app and surprisingly only one of its kind, I just wish you could manually set how much of the background was in it. Its a bit too cropped as both of the setting are very close portraits. Also by default use a nomedia in the photos taken folder, as I don't want to see a picture of my face in the gallery every 4 photos

This is the best face timelapse on an android ever!. 💕 However, I just found out that the pictures are too close and are closely cropped. I wonder if you could somehow provide an option to zoom out the pictures. This will be great if I have friends to include in my timelapse. And also, having a wide picture will let me document the landscape. Please don't cut my photos off. Hope this will be included on the next update 🙂

So far i haven't seen a better selfie a day app on here. The ui is slick, easy to use and the results are great. It takes care of cropping and aligning the pics along the eyes by itself. All you need to do is open the app and take a pic. You can also have multiple projects in there so it can be used for other people and even objects.

I bought premium because it said it would allow me to import from google photos. As far as I can tell this is not possible. I'm also having to import photos 1 by 1. This is frustrating when I have 300+ photos I'm trying to use, which I've already had to shift over to google drive just so the app can find them.

Purchased the app to export the video I made. But the app just edits the pictures, wbe. You export it you get a folder of the edited picture but not an actual video which is what I purchased the app for

Doesn't accept the latest photos. Even when I stand perfectly still and the lighting is great. Sometimes I have to take 20 pictures untill one gets accepted by the app, now it doesn't accept any pic anymore. Even w/ the same lighting I used before when pic got accepted. Useless :(

POS. Does it take photos? Sometimes. Sometimes unable to process photos. Does it have any facial recognition properties in order to align points, i.e. cheek bones, chin, eyes, etc. No. Used for 3 days, miss alignment and inability to process photos = 1 star.

Great app! Centres and crops photos automatically so the eyes line up in the sequence. One especially great feature is that it allows you to import photos... I was able to back track photos to my daughters first few days.
