Great app. Has bundle of words tailored for genki and other categories. Learn and repeat system. I find it really helpful.

This is great app for practicing vocabulary. Because it switches between listening, reading and translating, it keeps you on your toes. I like that I can add bundles as I progress chapter by chapter through Genki, but can also add my own words to the rotation. The only thing I'm confused about is the algorithm behind the repeat function. I have a bunch of words stuck at repeat 5 and haven't seen them come up again. I'd love the satisfaction of getting them all the way to 'learned'!

A VERY GREAT app to learn japanese vocabulary. I like the fact that the vocabularies is bundled within their own categories(there are bundles that you can get only by buying the full version, but the free ones already gave you much to work with). If only the learn new words limit were higher, that would be very helpful and can boost our learning very much (especially for those who have a lot of free time). The learn new words is the best mode for me.

Wow. How is this app not more well known? This is like a magical tool. When I started learning Japanese I wished there was something exactly like this to keep track of my vocabulary. Add words with 2 clicks to your own review 'system' get audio and a superb 3way learn/ quiz function + keep track of your progress. Joy. Yeah it's not the most gorgeous interface but don't judge this book by its cover. It works so well. Looking forward to any and all future developments. Thank you!

Good until I paid for the full version. Limited Kanji list. Waste of money. You must manually add every single kanji you want to study. If you are learning and don't know the kanji you want to learn you are out of luck. The point of studying is to learn new kanji, not have to add kanji you do not yet know so that you can study them. Mind you I paid for the full version hoping it would fix this. It didn't. I want my money back.

Very good! Everything I need and nothing I don't, it's working better than anything else has so far. Might be worth adding a simple help screen to explain the learn/repeat stuff (though it's not hard to figure out), and also text on the answer buttons can occasionally become too tiny to read on my small phone screen.

Newly downloaded. Good so far, attractive material design, but one annoying bug: In "Train Listening," the recorded words get chopped off and the playback is a bit herky jerky. That's using the default setting. I haven't tried adjusting the speed yet. Also ideally would be great if each definition of a word had a sample sentence to fix the meaning in context, but probably too massive an undertaking for an app of this scope.

In my opinion, with a little work, this has the potential to be the best japanese vocabulary apps out there. This because the tests do not only quizzes you on definitions from japanese to english (or visa versa), but you get questions translating both directions as well as the japanes pronunciation of words containing kanji and identification of audio clips. All four, which are essential to learning are included throughout the quizzes. I have issues with font sizes and adding bundles though.

This app is an amazing flash card trainer/dictionary for Japanese. I'm currently using it to study for the JLPT N3 and it's spaced repetition is helping me remember so many words. You can also customize your word list and which you are learning next so it's completely compatible with any book or curriculum if you don't mind a little work. The developer is also an amazing guy! I sent feedback and he implemented my feature requests within a week (same results not guaranteed 😉)

Promising! Finally someone made an app that offers listening practice with the English definition in audio as well! One request though, is it possible to force the listening practice to keep running even when the phone is locked? The ability to switch between JP or EN audio being played first would also be great! is there a promo code i can use :D
