Wonderful immersive gameplay. There are some annoying encounters like the troll that seem overpowered when playing as the thief. Other than that this game is a joy to play, and even more entertaining when discussing decisions with friends.

The game says you don't have to pay to win but since you can't plan ahead for most encounters because they're randomized, you die all the time, so you do end up having to pay. I would rather buy the game. It's my favorite implementation of these mechanics but it feels so dishonest. I wasn't trying to basically sign up for a subscription service.

I'm a big fan of dnd based games, as well as txt based rpg's. This, on the other hand is a pay to play type of game, hardly anything more. I've attempted the rogue level 16 times over, and, I'm a slow learner but Ive recieved 2 outcomes where I could've won, and carried on, but, somehow make it to the boss and can't seem to hit him, then I die. And, the only way to advance is beat the previous level, or pay for the next level. The gameplay is entertaining but half-@$$ed.

It's one of the best text based game, dynamic and immersive. HOWEVER, it's impossibly hard. The first level doesn't give you enough time to get strong enough or enough items to beat the final boss. I've done the first level 47 times and have lost every time.

Fun, but after dying many times due to mere luck, levels feel very repetitive. The streams shouldn't take an item every time. I wish there were more ways to cross them.
