I generally enjoy the reading experience on Kobo, and the out of book menu is well designed. It's fairly simple to import DRM free .epub files, which are mostly what I read. My biggest complaint is the lack of available fonts. I don't care for the font options available and would love to be able to import or download more font options.

  2. Andrew Mitchell-avatar

    Andrew Mitchell

Great for general reading but I mostly read French books (as a native English speaker) and the dictionary is frustrating. There is no translation dictionary available only a French dictionary in French, which kinda causes problems.

  3. Kevin Traser-avatar

    Kevin Traser

This is a competent option for reading books. But it is lacking in some ways. It doesn't have as many options as the Amazon reader. And curiously if you try to start this with Wi-Fi and data on, sometimes it will take an absolutely egregious period of time to start. And that's for an already downloaded book. I can only imagine that this app is helping itself to my data for something that I don't need or want and that's what's slowing it down.

  4. Valentino Beltramelli-avatar

    Valentino Beltramelli

Good enough, still prefer Perfect Viewer as ebook reader and still hate DRM implementations Paying customers, like me, are the ones getting the short straw, last update rendered the app unresponsive, had to clean up the installation, re-authenticate and re-download the books I was reading... Why can't we just export them as simple PDF and keep a damn offline copy as backup???

  5. Lance Renyk-avatar

    Lance Renyk

Had an issue with the books not downloading and the development techs fixed the issue after reading my omplaint within 2 days...excellent service thanks New version works flawlessly so far 21/11/05

This app blows. It won't even let me switch from the store to the free books. I was trying out the app before buying a kobu reader.

  7. Bayu Gondokusumo-avatar

I have just begun to use this app. Lots of favorite ebooks available and the navigation is good. I am thinking of purchasing the e reader also.

Makes a good eReader. But so far it still has problems keeping track of where you have reached. Yes there are bookmarks but they are cumbersome to use. I would love to be able to leave the app and then return, knowing that I would return to where I was when I left. It seems to work as expected up to 45%. Beyond that it tries to make you go back to 45%. The latest update has now started to freeze unpredictably. Still not 5 stars.

  9. Richard Carton-avatar

    Richard Carton

The Kobo app has many good features. I don't know if I will continue to use it though. As I work through the final chapters of the book, a drop down box repeatedly blocks part of the text telling me what book they think that I should be reading next. Such an invasive and annoying promotion!

  10. Stevean Bozek-avatar

    Stevean Bozek

Very functional app, love the book prices. Wish it was a little better in putting book series in order, especially when searching for a specific series. It's especially bad with manga series, they're all over the place and sometimes it's hard to find the volume I'm trying to buy. Even adding the volume number into the search doesn't always work. Not a very serious issue just something I hope someone sees and rectifies in the future
