Can no longer connect printer to Android app Says it is unable to connect to printer, often due to Failed to obtain IP address. Tried to reinstall without any change, currently unable to use. Tried the reset as suggested below, made no difference. I have now submitted help enquiry (June 2019). Problem remains and from Leitz Support feedback appears to be due to Android OS update to v7.0 - at this time (July 2019) neither Leitz or Samsung are currently able to resolve!

Terrible Printer.Packed up using it about a year ago,came back to it hoping for an improvement. Still does not work all the time.Now it won't connect to tablet,tried 2 tablets,still won't work.

I've been TRYING to install the app on an ASUS Tablet for quite some time... The software runs fine on our Windows PC and Android Phone. Although as a previous review stated. the app on the phone is a little clumsy and hard to navigate. After several support ticket attempts, and FINALLY getting one that worked, the response from support was to follow the instructions from the Google Play Store to install the app on the Tablet. NO JOY, which is WHY I sent a support ticket in the first place..... Telling me to do something that I have already don unsuccessfully numerous times is NOT supportive! I would , as another reviewer asked, like to see support for Chrome OS and Chromebooks. I am writing this review on a Chromebook that has to sit NEXT TO THE printer for business reasons...It sure would be nice to run the Icon software right here!!!

Clumsy to use on a touchscreen, though at least that works. It doesn't work properly when there's an actual keyboard available - It's entirely impossible to edit text when installed on ChromeOS. This suggests the app developer hasn't adhered to Google's advice for handling input/interactions as this is basic functionality that "just works" in every properly written app. It also suggests a lack of testing and consideration for how users actuall want to use the software. Additionally I'm very disappointed that the promised cloud print function is still missing. It's still "coming soon" on the leitzicon.co.uk website, it appears in the 2014 instruction manual, but it absent from the 2017 edition. That's a really poor show. There are a few other traits of badly thought out software also, like making it so tedious to find the correct media size to create a new label even though the app knows which media is in the printer. Esselte obviously don't really believe in user experience testing. In short, it's a nice printer very much let down by poor software & missing features. If this worked on a Chromebook, worked with Cloud Print (and for a bonus, was supported under Linux) it'd fare much better. It's a premium printer with premium media - A lot more expensive to run than the 6x4 thermal printer I use for postage labels. I expect a better experience from a premium product, otherwise what's the point?

I bought the printer a few months ago. Just got around to using it now and came here hoping for an improved app. No joy. The app is hopeless. Confusing, unintuitive and ugly.

Horrible app and printer, company gives no support either, i have already given up on it and I'm not willing to waste more time on it, beware....
