Port number should be greater than 1024 as binding to ports like 21 will not be possible on non-rooted phones. The default port number is configured to 2221 and can be changed from settings screen. For security reasons, anonymous access is not enabled by default. It can be enabled from settings screen.

If you dont have a FTP client, you could download Filezilla from https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client You can also access the ftp server from windows file explorer.

Good if you don't have/feel like using a cable to transfer files, but in my experience, it will randomly disconnect you from your client. I noticed when that happens, it killed my WiFi connection (for clarification, my WiFi doesn't turn off, the status changes to no internet), saying there was no internet, even though my connection was fine before. My WiFi works fine from where I use it, with a very good signal and minimal noise. Edited slightly for clarification.

Love this app. I found 2 bugs: 1. Every time I try to copy a .m4b files to the phone they are corrupted. I am sure it's this app only as when I copy same file over the cable or GDrive all is good. 2. When I copy a bunch of photos from the phone to my mac some of them will fail to copy. But when I copy same ones one-by-one they copy just fine.

This app is simple and really (mostly) works. You can also set the custom path to be an SDCard. Fixed loads of frustration copying files to my phone. I'm now finding that there are a lot of ECONNRESET errors and that the connection terminates sometimes.

Some phones (like my previous Redmi 4 for example) have FTP build into their file manager/explorer. Sadly, my current Galaxy S7 does not have such level of sophistication. In places where my current phone lacks, this app is one of the stopgaps that plugs a hole - in this case in FTP. Flaws: 1. as soon as you change the root ftp folder this app stops delivering and needs to be reinstalled to become operational again, 2. the app every now&then (more&more often) disconnects clients without reason

Very good app . It's working fine . Easily I can transfer file pc to Android or android to pc . Overall good performance best app for those who haven't internet or data cable .they can access file through this app by just connecting smartphone to pc via hotspot . I like it very much .

Exactly what's needed. A rare 5 star app! Maybe not for complete newcomers, but best way to transfer files between pc and phone. Unless you use a direct cable, but that's more inconvenient. No annoying third party stuff, just direct ftp machine to machine.

Transfers 3 or 4 pictures, then hangs. I have to hit "retry" on my FTP client. 3 or 4 more files, hangs, retry. I tried with another FTP server app, and everything was synchronized quickly and without hanging. I uninstalled this one.

As many people have mentioned this app works only once properly and then even if you delete and try to configure again it doesn't work. They just want to sell their pro version and its not free...pathetic..why dont mention it that the app is free only once
