It really helped me memorize the basics. Only thing, it doesn't have the modified katakana, ba/pa/ga/za/da, and the sound works only for the fist few letters shown before stoping entirely.

The only reason I want to use the app is for the writing practice. Problem is that the same Katakana keep showing up 3 or 4 times in the same 10 run. Their rng algorithm is busted. I want to practice more than just 20 characters.
