Research Centre for Humanities Computing, CUHK has developed a well-known web application "Chinese Character Database" (http://humanum.arts.cuhk.edu.hk/Lexis/lexi-can/). Which stores a huge and complete database of phonological data of over 13k chinese characters. It is a useful and nice website, however we may encounter some difficulties on using this web application on our mobile devices. So I wrote this little application, which is just provide a simple interface to access this web application. You can also hear the cantonese pronunciation with this application.

- Try to fix the voice problem by reading the MP3 source from another site. I am not sure this will fix the problem some devices met, as all my devices didn't have any problem on the voice (Nexus 7, LG G3 & Pro2), hope this version can help those Samsung / Sony users

The last version was fine. After I updated the app, I can't see the Chinese character I just typed. It is actually there because if I tried to select it in the box fir searching, I can see it being high-lighted. Searching function works fine but on the result page, I can't see the buttons for different init/tone. When I tapp the box where the button is supposed to be, again, it works. So, I believe there's some problems displaying the character in the search box and the buttons.

Going at rate of 1 word at a time is so backwards. If you're capable, work on the app to allow reading out phrases. Uninstalling.

You should also test Android 7+ as some of them may have software compatible problems especially for Android 10.
