Invasive app which requires permissions to camera, location, and storage. Without any of those, the app will not run. I don't see why an app to control a padlock via bluetooth would need permission to camera and location. But the lock cannot be set up without the app. The lock itself is very nice. So I basically have to allow permissions whenever I need to use the app to setup fingerprint and check battery, then turn them all off right after.

If at first it worked connecting my padlock after an update I see that this is not the case anymore. I have repeated the steps done previously but with no luck. This means that I will not know what is the battery's percentage and cannot unlock with the phone when the fingerprint does not work. I will not reccommend this padlock because of poor app associated. Later edit: location needs to be turned on for you to connect to the padlock. This is strange but it worked eventually.

Although the makers may not speak the best English, this is a remarkable and wonderful device. Here are better directions: 1 plug in your lock and give it some power. 2. turn on your phone's Bluetooth. 3. download the OKLoc app and click register as the picture shows 4. enter your email and password. hit send. find the code in your email and enter it into the second blank. 5. Make a profile and enter your fingerprints into the actual lock. 6. come back and change your review to 5 from a 1 :)

My phone is alerting me that this app is Spyware. The app itself requires location, media, and contact management permissions to be able the use it. I got the lock as a Christmas present and I can't even use it without the shady app. Unfortunately, there aren't any reviews on Google play store to give me assurance that this product and app safe. Bummer.

I am returning this lock. You cannot use it without the app and the app has very intrusive permission requirements including your contacts access to phone logs and ability to make calls. It's a Chinese app that wants to steal your data. Be very careful. I mean it's ridiculous that a lock application wants to make phone calls read your phone call logs and see who your contacts are. I don't know how you can justify that.

So far the lock is great, but the app is terrible. If you want to delete a fingerprint, or redo one, you have to delete them all. You can't rename fingerprints. The whole interface is clunky. But the lock works without issue so far.

App requires way too much access to your device. Demands access to be able to make phone calls as well as access all files or it refuses to load. Way too intrusive. Would rate lower than a star if I could. It's a surveillance wet dream.

Oh my goodness 😳 it on my locker.its locked had worked up till Wed Morning I'm scared now I trusted it to work my keys could of been in there I'm going to replace it with something that wouldn't malfunction... oh my goodness worst lock ever...

Just got the bluethooth fingerprint padlock from Amazon. Trying to follow the first step from instruction manual that came with the product and can't even register to log into the app. Needless to say the item is going back to Amazon asap. Definitely don't recommend buying the padlock or using the app. What a waste of time.

This app is probably a Trojan horse, possibly for a foreign state. It should not require network access, access to my photos or camera or phone information. My guess is it sends info from your phone, and possibly your fingerprint to bad actors. I should have looked at the app first. Going to send the lock back. What a hassle
