Be aware, the game may not fully function at this point. The spices don't work at all for me, which is a huge part of the game. Uninstall/reinstall didn't fix it, even when I trashed my backup (and with it, gardens I'd purchased in the game) in case that's where the glitch was. Eden and Eden Encore on PS3 are my favorite games so I would've loved to play Obscura. Just know that if you're late to this party like I was, it may not work for you.

I really want to give this app 5 stars. Baiyon's soundtrack is just as amazingly lush as in the original Eden for the PS3, and the stylistic design of the game is just as beautiful. The problem is that the app keeps crashing randomly! This means that I've missed out on rewards for completing levels multiple times, and I've lost lives and spices because the app has stopped in the middle of me playing levels. The camera feature also burns through my battery life. Fix and I'll gladly give 5 stars.

I'd like to begin by saying that I do really, really love this game (since way back then, with PixelJunk Eden) because for me it is such an enjoyable audiovisual experience that I enjoy like no other game, and as a plus, Baiyon's music it's the perfect combination. When I knew about Eden Obscura, I was so happy that I rushed to look for information and everything until I was invited to the beta But now that I have installed the game in my smartphone, all of the happiness became sadness the moment I saw that the app requires access to my smartphone's cameras, and not just that, the app actually uses them. I feel this as a strong transgression to my intimacy (not just Privacy) because how's the app to know if I'm naked in my bedroom, maybe by myself, or with my girlfriend?; it's really gross enough for me when someone points their camera towards me, can you imagine how disgusting and obnoxious it is to see my smartphone's camera focusing on me whenever I try to open this app?, and then, after the title, one of the rear cameras keeps showing what's below the focal range of it without considering if it's focusing on my naked body, my private belongings, or my home's intimacy.

i loved the PS3 one. but this.... this is awful. the adapted control system is possibly one of tge worst control systems ive encountered so far. all you need is a jump button and it wiuld have been so much better. so you could control when you want to use the swing, and when yiu want to jump / travel through objects. like... you ruined it. and the camera use is superfluous and quite frankly pathetic. its pointless to waste your battery for something that literally has zero benefit to gameplay.

It still my favorite ps3 devolepers but the only thing that would make me enjoy everything is if they added pixaljunk shooter and this is good but the shooter had a the sense of adventure and the chillness that came with playing the game they don't make it feel as if it is better but your are equally and you are its friend, ik its werid but this is my honest review.

Edit: My complaints have been addressed so now giving the full 5 stars! Loved this game on the PS3 and I like how it had been adapted for mobile. Controls are slightly different but you get used to it fairly quickly.
