Play your Dreamcast games on the go & in HD.

Reicast the only Dreamcast emulator for Android. It is not perfect yet, but can already run many games.

No games or bios are included with this download, as this would be illegal. You have to dump the bios and games from your own dreamcast.

**Permissions**
- "Photos/Media/Files" -> to read game images and bios
- "Camera/Microphone" -> for dreamcast microphone emulation
- "Device & app history" -> to read emulator crash logs. You can submit the logs via the included menu to help us solve issues.

**Setup**
- Create a folder named "reicast", and then a folder named "data" inside it. Put the bios (dc_boot.bin & dc_flash.bin) inside the data folder. Windows sometimes hides the file extention, so the filename might look like "dc_boot" on the windows explorer.

- Create a folder anywhere you want, and put the Dreamcast games in there. Reicast currently supports .gdi, .chd (v4), and .cdi disc formats, but .cdi is discouraged due to problematic compatibility.

- Open reicast and selet the "reicast" folder you created as system path.

- In order to save your game-play progress you will first need to format the memory cards. In order to do this you need to start the program, select the "boot bios" option, go to the "file" option, select the memory cards and then select the "delete all" option.

- Finally use the game navigator to locate your games. You can also setup a game path if you want to default to a specific folder.

- For further support & general questions, ask in http://forums.reicast.com/index.php?board=1.0

**Recommended specs**
- Cpu: Cortex-A9, Dualcore, 1.2ghz
- Gpu: Adreno, Tegra K1 or Mali400 gpus
- At least 512mb ram

I'm sure the emulator is good but I couldn't find a rom of the game i- for some reason- want to play on my phone. I only downloaded this for the microphone feature, which is why I'm rating it 4 stars. I think the fact that i can't play Seaman is probably a good thing though

Touch interface broken, can't select directory. I try to select things and it either does nothing or goes haywire. Maybe its because Im on the zfold3 and its different aspect ratio, but other apps dont seem to have any issue

The only version of reicast work well on my low end phone is r8.1 But it don't have screen orientation & touch button opacity setting. This latest version always glitch & force close.

I put everything on my SD card to save space and the home directory disappears every time I close the app, none of my previous save's still exist, and every time I create a new save it disappears every time I close the app. Other than that this application is top notch.

Hardest thing I've ever tried to get running. Redream is WAY better! Even if you have the necessary BIOS files this emulator doesn't automatically get them, or save them, or work right.... It's pretty bad.

The BIOS + ROM setup is nightmarishly convoluted and specific. The menus get easier to navigate after a while but are still very bad to navigate/aren't intuitive. The virtual gamepad is tiny and there is no way to up the button scaling. The audio is decent but there are many graphical issues. I would have given one star if not for the fact that it technically works at the end of the day.

I see virtually no frame rate drop in comparison to the real games. Control needs to be fine tuned though. The directional buttons don't react well enough to quick input

You need to improve the game with bios already. This is the one that i am using because redream in not compatible in my phone. I will change this to 5 stars when it happens.

Advanced User Only (Unless your very tech savvy). Nightmare setup. ▪︎ Required "mouse" (wired or wireless). ▪︎ Bios are the boot.bin & flash.bin files (not bios.bin). ▪︎ Only Reads .cdi & .gdi files only (Does NOT!!! read rom.bin or rom.cue). ▪︎ Required tinkering around the settings for some games that may have graphical glitches.

Unlike redream, this emulator doesn't crash when I save and load a state, it's a really good emulator for even low end devices.
