Seems ok, what comes up on my phone screen is not what shows as supposed to be there in the pro version. For example, there is no current weather link, there is nothing that says Adventure Navigation, it just opens up to a map, it doesn't show my arrows to rearrange way points when planning, to name just a few. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to plan a trip, save it and use it the next day, for example. Seems to be only a tracking app, not a trip planning app.

The concept behind RISER is interesting. Planning routes. Recording rides. Associating photos with those rides. Designating interesting sections. Allowing other RISER users to see your rides and sections. The execution, however, leaves quite a bit to be desired. I installed RISER so I could participate in KTM's World Adventure Week (WAW) 2021, but I will probably uninstall RISER at the end of the week. (a) Planning rides has been problematic. I was able to successfully plan a ride to a campground on Monday using the "Destination" tab, but when I then select the "Roundtrip" tab, instead of helping me make a round trip of it, it deletes the original route and makes up a completely different new route, and there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to modify the new route. Designating points on the map has also been problematic -- I was unable to designate a route back home while in the mountains and out of cell service. (b) I *was* able to simply record the return ride, however, the RISER app saved none of the pictures that I took within the app -- the only picture that I can find is one I took outside the RISER app. So, that picture is not associated with a particular location along the route ... it is merely associated with the ride as a whole. (c) On Tuesday I managed to plan a route using designated points, but the RISER app connected those points in illogical ways, failing to find the logical route between points and instead circling back and repeating large segments of the route. (d) RISER also chose to orient the route in the opposite direction from the direction I wanted to ride it, and failed to re-orient to my direction as I rode the route. Finally, after spending 3 hours riding the route, RISER then failed to save the ride, so I'm missing those 83 miles for the WAW, and I'm missing the completion of the Tuesday WAW challenge. I suppose I'll have to plan my routes using some other app, and simply record them for the WAW using RISER. Grrrrr. Not a happy camper. ***Update after a week of use*** -- I found that things worked smoothly if I used another app to plan the route and just used RISER to record the route. Also I found that I could successfully take a picture along the route from within the RISER app so long as the phone is in "portrait" orientation ... which is a curious limitation given that the form-factor of a phone photo lends itself well to a "landscape" photo of the scenery. I do like being able to record ride routes with photos associated with specific points along the route. RISER needs more work to be a useful planning tool, and to eliminate some odd limitations.

Off to a bad start. I attempted to use the option to "try before registering," but kept getting "unknown error." Not sure I want to even waste my time signing up if this is a precursor of what's to come.

Couldn't even test the app. As soon as I skipped the registration and hit "agree and start testing" an unknown error popped up. Shows lack of testing done by the developers.

As described more thoroughly by a previous review, this app works well for recording your ride, but it's nearly impossible to actually plan your ride in the app. I was looking for an app that would allow me to plan a route easily, then give me directions as I rode. This is not that app.

This app has great potential, but a few little things keep me from wanting to use it. 1) when a route is highlighted, other roads are too dark in night mode. For example, I didn't know that a road forked off and therefore missed my turn. Had the non-route road been visible, I would have seen that. 2) App does not tolerate when you travel off the route plan. Your icon will sit at the last location on route presumably indefinitely until you return. A route adjustment would be preferable. 3) It ended up taking me on gravel, minimal maintenance roads. 4) Vehicle marker motion is choppy/not smooth. Otherwise very close to exactly the type of app I'm wanting. That said, I don't ride a motorcycle but rather drive my cars. While not a dealbreaker by any means, it would be nice if the app acknowledged cars as well.

RISER is almost a great app; almost, but not quite. RISER's pack feature is a great idea, and makes it almost the ideal app for motorcycle groups. A user can create a group and allow others to join who are within a half kilometer from the user. All the users who join the group can then see all the other users on a group ride. There are several problems with RISER that just kill its usefulness: 1. It's impossible to import a map to follow from an external source. It would be great if the user were able to create a map on Google Maps, and then import that into RISER for him and others to follow. 2. It is practically impossible to create a track to follow for later use and save it within the app. You can save tracks that you record by riding, but the only way to use a new track created within the map is to use it immediately. 3. When creating a route within RISER the options for creating the app seem bugging. Selecting the fastest route, for example, in my test, created a route that was twice as long as the curvy map. 4. When selecting a location from the map to use as a routing point, street names and addresses displayed for those points are usually way inaccurate and unhelpful. I really wanted to like this app. For the reasons given, I can't use it.

Wanted to compare its windy-route compared to Calimoto. Entered a random destination then noticed it routed onto the highway, then off an exit, then right back on. That's NOT a windy route! 🤣

I love the live tracking giving my family friends the ability to track the ride. It even the tells the speed you are going. It's an accurate feature. I didnt give it 5 stars because I'm still trying to figure out how if you plan a route how to get back to navigation screen on the map if you click off or pause the navigation. It seems to lose track of it. You have to try to re plot the route or it will create a different one. When this happens it stops your live tracking and you have to resend.

It's just another social media app. I wanted to log rides and take some notes, but it keeps shoving connectivity at me.
