Tetrd is a simple tool that allows you to share your internet connection from your device to your PC and vice versa through a USB cable. You can try it free for three days! When your free trial ends, you can purchase Tether Pro for unlimited tethering, Reverse Tether Pro for unlimited reverse tethering, or Universal Tether Pro to get both at a discounted price. Tethering Tethering allows you to share your device's wifi or mobile internet connection with your PC. You can use this if your carrier or data plan doesn't allow you to enable the built-in tethering feature of your device. Or if you have an unlimited data plan, but your carrier caps your hotspot/tethering usage to a certain amount, say 7GB. Reverse Tethering Reverse tethering allows you to share your computer's internet connection with your device. Experience is primarily with Note 10+ and an HP Omen 15 running ZorinOS 15 and normal tethering. If the app isn't left open on screen it crashes in a couple minutes, and if left open sometimes it runs for hours or sometimes it stops running anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes, there doesn't seem to be a solid time. Good app, just doesn't seem to be working proper on Linux. Limited experience on Windows 10 seemed to run perfect.

I have paid for this app to use reverse tethering. No problems. I can leave my phone in flight mode and still get internet via my laptop usb charging cable. Now I can work on my phone all day, or leave it next to my bed while sleeping, and not worry about excessive emf. Added bonus is my battery is always 100% charged. I would give it 5 stars, but there are one or two applications, like Samsung Cloud, saying it can't get internet. Overall, I am happy.

I've been using this since last year. But now, it keeps crashing causing my laptop gets blue screen of death. Hopefully it is not because of the app or the cable connection, I've changed the cable and reinstall the app on both phone and laptop.

Works easy on linux mint. No hassle start and forget. Fast too. Update...worked great for a year. Then stopped working. Reset (factory) and still wouldn't work. Discovered that newer version doesn't like older device....so searched and found older versions...installed the newest that worked (1.0.3) and it's all happy again. Newer version couldn't communicate with authorization server. Still great.

Getting 401 error lately. Anyone else? Very polished app, easy to set up if you read the man pages, even provides a .deb pkg. Will run & examine debug logs. I think the authentication server went off-line? I just found the FIX for the connect failure #401! Goto the Tetrd app > Clear cash and data (yeah I know that common recommendation usually doesn't work); but it did in this case. You may need to sign in with GOOGLE again to connect. I also downloaded and re-installed the PC side server driver, but linux mint reported it as the same file -- so that likely was not necessary. I can usually find any computer issue :)

EDIT2:2003 Err EDIT:The problem seems to be related to the USB3 ports only. If you run into any problems and have a USB2 port, try that first! ORIGINAL:I have followed all the instruction on the screen and when I plug in my phone, the app opens. After a few moments the server app on my Windows device says, " is not responding". I am using the factory cables and tried everything from reinstalling to clearing the cache. I would like to be able to use this app because it is a really cool concept.

Edit2. App was great initially but it disconnected on its on sfter some time. Now its just not working as I get an Error 401. Have tried reconnecting but the error keeps popping up. How do I get rid of this??? I enjoyed using this app. Great App, made connecting a bit easier than the other apps I came across. So far so good.

Edit(08/08/2021) Another reviewer had a fix, and now it's back up and running again! Still reducing it by one star for no responses from the dev. It appears he's giving a different email than the one on his website, perhaps that's why he didn't respond. Edit(4/11/2021): Had to reduce my star rating as I've encountered a service debilitating bug, and the dev has not replied to my several emails. (Old Review) Runs very well. Has the best speed I've seen in one of these kinds of apps.

It worked fine for awhile, but now, after 10 min of use, the app decides to just deconnect claiming the phone wss disconnected even if you dont touch or move a single thing, i tested the cable and had no problems, and tethering normally works just fine, i will probably advise to find a different app.

Pretty great, disconnects occasionally although everything is plugged in tight and properly, other than that it works great and it's very fast. Super useful for places with bad service internet wise
