App ChangeLog
- This app release includes two big updates to the LUMI app. First of all, we've changed the way you navigate around Lessons. You can now pause, repeat and replay sections of a Lesson that are particularly tricky (or fun!). Secondly, we've launched the Pick Up This Sound series — new groups of Lessons that focus on a particular style of music. To start, you can discover Blues, Reggae, 80s Pop Chords, Dance Anthems and Modern Pop Chords, with more on the way.

All of the content is great. However, the app itself crashes a LOT....

My 6 years old loves LUMI keys, but phone/tablet compatibility is ridiculous. The 2020 phone with Android 10 and Snapdragon 632 processor marked as incompatible. Really? No word about minimum screen resolution requirement neither. How's about giving users more flexibility to decide on compatibility?

Simply terrible... Doesn't work on tablets at all and on your phone, just don't try to adjust the volume every or it will break the app and make the timing at least a measure off... Aweful job on this app, you should be ashamed of yourselves

I bought a Samsung S6 tablet just to use the Lumi because it was on the recommended list of devices. Unfortunately there is still crackling in the sound. The lessons just light up the keys. Do I use my thumb? My pinky? Where do I place my hand to play the lesson? The Lumi is great and the Lumi app content looks great, but it needs a little extra for people who have never touched anything related to music. That's why I bought this product. I know nothing.

static and popping when playing any audio. Attempted on an HP Chromebook x2. Their ipad app works fine, I had a feeling the android app would be less optimized so cant say im surprised

I love the piano! And it is what it says it is... A piano, and music library! alot of my problem is JUST with the shortage of gimmicks, I'm a programmer, and have great patience with apps, and all I have to say are some things that might be useful: -record your songs so you can play your own songs and show them to people- -an option to share said songs- -in practice mode the ability to skip to a part- -be able to use the piano over another app- -music maker and ability to share made pieces-

This app is pretty good but could use some tweaking. A couple suggestions: make it so it returns to the same screen you were at when finishing a song. For example if I'm in the middle of the intermediate songs screen it should bring me back to that point after exiting out of the song. Also I think the pop ups of "perfect" and "late" are too far down on the screen blocking the upcoming notes. Please be sure you check the supported devices. I bought a tablet with Android 10 OS that doesn't work.

This app (when paired with the Lumi Keys) has a lot of potential. I have three issues with the Lumi Music application after a couple of days of using it: 1) When learning one of the songs, I want to know which fingers I'm supposed to be using - similar the scales/chords practice. 2) I would like to be able to use the application on my Mac. 3) I would like the ability to rewind/fast forward during a lesson so I don't have to completely restart the lesson if I just want to go back ten seconds.

The app is still very, very bad. The timer for starting the next lesson is taking forever. Tapping on a previous lesson does nothing. Pausing is working sometimes. Also sometimes the "play" layer will be on top on already playing video. And there's still a very much noticable unresponsiveness. For the content on the lessons itself: You are rushing things very, very quickly. This is supposed to be for beginners, people who has never played piano, and yet you go through some lessons so fast, without any practice, that it's impossible to grasp anything. How am I supposed to learn the notes' positions by heart in a minute? During practice I don't even know where I'm supposed to look, the lighting keyboard keys or the notes on the screen. I don't even know where you expect me to position my fingers. Then you jump forward to quarter notes, explain very quickly something about rests and jump to practice without even stopping for me to get around the keyboard. It's impossible to learn anything. Some of these lessons, especially the ones with notes, needs complete rework with beginners in mind. Without rushing, with much more practice.

Still a work in progress for sure, but worth while regardless. For those thinking of getting a lumi keys, don't let the 2.5 star rating here stop you. The product itself is great and the app works relatively well. No need to worry about that. As for the developers, it would be great if we could pause, fast forward, and rewind songs and lessons. Additionally, the app shouldn't ask to connect a second lumi every single time you connect to Bluetooth. That's a small thing, but it gets annoying.
