Why can't I choose the default sections?

This newer app is attractive, but it's missing two things that I would need to give it a higher rating. First, the font is very small and there is no way to adjust it . Second, and this is less of a problem, you have to switch back to the homepage and select the next article, you cant just swipe right or left to go forward or back in the article list.
