Take Runtastic out for a run Runtastic Pro Running Fitness acts as your real-time, updated and dedicated personal trainer, by tracking your jogging, walking, cycling, running or any choice of your fitness activity. You can share your sports activities, discover new running routes and reach exercise goals. Runtastic captures all the basic data you'd expect from a fitness tracking app: distance, average speed, speed between mile markers, elevation, pace, pace between mile markers, duration, calories burned, and route as plotted on a map using GPS, which you can optionally disable to save battery. Open and launch right into your activity by hitting the "Session" tab. To the left is an icon indicating which activity is selected. Tap it and you can change to any exercise from inline skating to simply walking. When you finish your run, kayak ride, cross-country ski route or any other fitness exercise the app opens to a page where you can log additional details about the weather, surface (i.e., pavement, wooded trails, gravel), your mood, and anything else you want to record in a notes field. You can mark injuries, days with lower scores or slower paces. Pro version features multilingual voice feedback (including English, German, Spanish, French and Italian), live tracking, route search and share - you can find routes other users have mapped -, pulse reading and heart rate zones (COMPATIBLE HEART RATE MONITOR IS NEEDED), an integrated music player with ‘power songs’, pre-programmed workouts, intervals and competitions. Also available is the auto-pause, so Runtastic Pro will account for stops and red lights, which comes hand for urban outdoor activities. I really tried it, but this app is always losing GPS-signal while other tracking apps like Endomondo or Google Fit work perfectly fine. I think I'm going to turn this down and go back to another provider. By the way, the pro version isn't actually the premium version. you still need to pay to get a premium account. I don't recommend the app for getting reliable data around your running performance.

Consider this a warning not to sign up for paid subscription. I have made 3 attempts to cancel via their website and they claim they will send you a link to cancel. I have yet to get that email and yes I checked junk mail. All I have received is an auto reply with instructions on how to submit for that same email that I never get. You cant cancel on play store as well. Dont give them access to your money. I am contacting credit card company to get them to reject further withdrawals from this dishonest scam of a company.

Don't bother anymore. Been using this app for years and I liked it at first. Worked well, had good features. It started out ad free or at least minimal ads, now it spams me with upgrading to Premium. They add features that are rarely useful but cause app issues but I could go onto the website for a more robust experience. Not anymore! Used to be able to create and find new routes on the website. Only available on mobile yet the app crashes whenever I try to find a new route. Look elsewhere. Response to developer: Maybe the "experience will be worth it" one day but perhaps ensure that features worked properly on mobile before disabling web would have ensure my experience was great now. Too late; I've uninstalled.

Bait and switch. I bought this app because it is the only one I found that does both time and distance based intervals. After a few weeks of use they changed the app so that setting intervals requires a paid subscription. That would be fine for a free app, but this app already costs a fortune by app standards ($5).

This is a very nice app overall. One thing that's really annoying though is that in most versions if the screen is locked tracking stops so you gotta keep your device on throughout the whole workout to be sure it's tracked. The other thing is the inability to change the number of values displayed. There could be 6 values instead of 4 and also a full screen of even more values w/o the map. I hope you consider these additions in the future updates.

Great apps, used it for both cycling and running... Although it would be good if we can run multiple sessions at the same time... While pausing the others without stopping it. So I can track my cycling to a destination location, pause the cycling, and start a running session at that place, and resume my cycling back home, and all of them is tracked as different type of activity, but the cycling as one activity being paused in between another activity...

Runtastic PRO is functional - the GPS tracking, statistical information and social leaderboard aspects all work as intended. However, I'm thoroughly disappointed that a number of former PRO features, features like a customisable voiced coach, which I paid a one-time fee to take advantage of, have been pared down and locked behind an additional Premium paywall. This, coupled with the constant pop-up ads for Premium, have made it very difficult to justify paying for PRO over the free version of the app.

The app is not practical for someone who has a goal of tracking their total distance covered, 2min into the run it looses network... If you do not open the app at every intersection, with the hopes of updating your location, it will tell you that your total distance is less than a km. That's after you covered over 5km, at times it will vanish during your jog, nowhere to be found... I'm still searching for the best running app... This is not it... Waste of my money

5 bucks for a couple more features, only for not seeing ads pasted all over the screen every 5 seconds? And "get premium" "get premium" "get premium" pasted all over menus? Every time you open the darn thing, get premium is pasted over your screen a few times! This is ridiculous. I haven't requested a refund only because I need it. Looking for replacement. Fu..s up my supposed birthday, too. I set it a million time, and it fu..s it up. I'm smart enough to use correct year and bogus date, folks.
