This app used to be fine (before they gave it a makeover), but now it's awful. Every time I open it, it's like I'm setting it up for the first time again. Navigating the app is a nightmare now. Not user-friendly (and I'm very tech-savvy). So poorly designed. On top of that, I'll get notifications about a deal, yet when I click it, it'll say, "Not found". Y'all need to go back to the way the app was before. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Need the ability to add to LIST from search and not only add to cart because I just use this for my list but like to search for exact products to put on the list. As others have commented mine to acts like it's the first time set up every time I open it

How is the vons app so good as a the Tom thumb app so awful? I moved a tom thumb area recently and not only is the app awful, and hard to use, the notifications never take you where they're supposed to, but the deals suck compared to Safeway and Vons. Shame on your corporation for raising prices based on the state where you live. I honestly only shop at Tom thumb because they have fresh kosher meat. And the employees at the store are rude and inconsiderate. Especially the manager.

The new version is awful. Every time you start it up you have to go through the entire setup. "Let's get started" "Enter your location" "Choose a store" "In store shopping or pickup" All I want to do is add a couple of coupons. I should not have to go through those steps more than once ever. Hard to find specials.... The old version was so much better. This version was someone's effort to maintain job security by taking a working app and redesigning it for, "better functionality"

I was forced to switch from Safeway app to Tom Thumb app. I travel to California, so I shop at both. I resent being forced to switch to an inferior product.. Tom Thumb app requires so many extra taps, it is more time-consuming to find items because you are forced to scroll through item after item and categories you are not interested in. I would give it a "0" if it was offered.

For those experiencing the location select over and over, it's because you're still using the 'Safeway' app and not the new (forced download) 'Tom Thumb' app (NEW ICON). I really can't understand why they decided to change the previous application when it was working just fine, at least for in-store it was. Maybe they became over-focused on online shopping ease, which I don't even use. So likely an attempt to help a minority of shoppers (online) at the sacrifice of in-store? Sad.
