What do all the squiggly arrows mean in the daily notifications? Sometimes they are red, sometimes green, sometimes they point upwards, sometimes downwards, then when you open the notification and go into the app, they are no longer displayed and you can't get them back till the next notification and there's nothing in the instructions indicating what they mean???

Lovely app! Very easy to use, reliable every time I've had to run a speed test and I would say their algorithm and testing process is much more accurate than other online tools. The animations help visualise testing and make it easier to explain to non-techies. I would love to be able to see my Whitebox data in the app, but when I click on the section in the nav bar, it just shows me a button to sign up for one when I have one already! Please add this feature, cheers!

This app received a long overdue update in March 2020. I was optimistic some of my criticisms of the app would have been resolved. The filtering of results is nice, but unfortunately since the update the app has functioned very inconsistently. There are better speed test apps available, the scheduled speed tests on this app don't work as expected. I've come to review the app prior to uninstalling. I can't comment on how the app displays data from a speed test box as I don't have one.

None of my details were found eg server and provider. The "start testing" button was greyed out and did not respond to clicks. No tests could be run. The app has not been updated since 2017. For a state agency, this is sloppy stuff. If tests are no longer needed from the public, then the Commerce Commission should say so. Cute graphics tho!

Not sure about the accuracy of this, especially compared to the BT Wholesale browser test. I respect that an app measuring over Wi-Fi, and the associated background clutter (Google Media Services, Play store, and the plethora of other apps syncing behind the scenes) can lead to compromises on accuracy, but the descrepancy seems rather too large for me. Positives: the app has a clean and simple UI, is easy to configure, and has a good section of very clear definitions of test data.

The SamKnows support team have fixed previous error 'unable to reach servers' for Samsung G4 (4 months). I've reinstalled latest version. I can now run some tests but when trying to login to my dashboard I get a login "Error something appears to have gone wrong, try again later". As before, running tests directly using samknows website works ok by comparison (not via this app). Perhaps some more beta testing needed? Extra star as I can now use basic test function.

App used to work great, but after the most recent update and/or switching to a new phone, the app continuously fails to run tests through a manual check, hitting some error mid-test...

Make sure you turn off "Data Saver" if you wish to test mobile data. There should be a message pop up telling you this if the server cant be found, or the software checks to see if it is enabled.

for the longest time, this app was primarily used to give samknows whitebox testing stats. NOT ANYMORE. this app is now a useless garden variety speed test app. BOO! BOO! BOO! so, will instead just save the samknows.one webpage as an icon on my phone to see my whitebox test stats -- and deleting this yet another speed test app.
