UDP Monitor is a simple application that allows you to receive and send UDP packages to/from another host. It has an easy to use chat like interfase where you provide the remote host ip and port and allows you to send messages to it. You can also configure the receiving port and start listening. There are a lot of features you can configure: -Packet buffer size. -Behavior and format for displayed messages -Visualize, write and send messages in Natural Language, HEX or ASCII representation -Notifications -Auto start receiving on app startup -Ignore messages from specific IPs -Program autoresponses -Clocked auto send messages -Control UDP Monitor from external apps using Broadcast Intents You can also save configuration profiles and load them whenever you need them UDP Monitor is an excelent companion to work with whenever you are developing a network aplication or just monitoring messages from another host/program. (Disclaimer: It needs to be connected to a WIFI or Mobile network in order to work. Also this is NOT a Wireshark)
App ChangeLog
- Fix bug where intents where being received twice in lower Android versions
Lev Shamilov
A couple of bugs: (#1) The month in the time-stamp is showing as -1. In other words, the January month is showing as number 0, like 30/0/21. (#2) the labels for IP and Ports are visible under the numbers. Other than that - seems OK. I wish you could disable the line with the IP address, so save some space on the screen and make the top part of the screen collapsible, again to save some space. Also, changing the font size would be very important as well.

This app works flawlessly . . . as long as the app is open, not in the background and the tablet not screen locked. My us is probably not normal: I'm logging temperatures from a micro device so I need for it to run in the background. As a messenger, though, it is perfect and simple to use.

A very good application does what it should. The only thing I would like is to add the ""service"" because android notoriously kills the process and the application notoriously stops working when it is in the background. And I need the application to be active and listen 24/7 without any interruption.

Nice and simple test tool. It just works! No muss or fuss.
Pink Buttons
There is a strange behavior on the local port, where the packet is not always sent through the port specified in this field, even when the remote = local option is set in the settings. Using Android 9.
Tomas Sirtautas
Nice app, would be great, if received package data, would pop-up in notification section, and would be displayed for a while, even when app is minimized.

Suggestion: autofill remote and port settings when long pressing on the origin address of the incomming inbound message.

Add darkmode. Add tcp option. Add preset buttons

Just the tool I was looking for to test my udp server
