Saving Mikey is a choosable-path adventure game built on plain text messages from a young boy, who went missing in an infected area after "Lyssa", a very dangerous rabies-like virus started to spread silently. You have to help him survive and reach the safe zone by telling him what to do when he faces different situations and threats during his journey. We mixed the classic „road trip in an apocalyptic world” genre with the interactive Fighting Fantasy books from the 80's.

- Minor text-fix

Nice COYA. Occasional pictures help with the atmosphere. However, upon replays, I found the game is actually very linear in the sense that actions don't have much long term consequences. Also, subsequent playthrough is slow due to the very slow text - it would have been great if double-click-to-skip-to-next-decision could be enabled after finishing the game once. Google Play Achievements would be great as incentive for replay to reveal all the story. Also, some minor bugs/complaints: (1) I cannot play my own music while the game is in foreground (2) some storyline in the summer houses repeated (3) no clear explanation on the story's villian

Pretty engaging zombie-themed CYOA with some replayability thanks to a few branching spots. Replaying failed sequences is a bit tedious without any way of skipping/speeding up the text. The bigger issue I had was with the English translation though, which could use proofreading - the writing is serviceable and understandable but a bit clunky and awkward at times, clearly not written/proofed by a native. And the writing is pretty important in a text adventure ;) Definitely worth a try for any fans of the genre though.

Found the choices largely meaningless, and felt messages were inconsistent with what I would expect from a 9 year old.
