Shelter is an asymmetric single-player card game where you build a deck of dueling cards and take them into battle against a zombie deck that "plays itself". The zombie deck is not controlled by a hideously complex AI, but plays based on a simple set of rules with dice rolls to add the element of chance. You must fight off the waves of zombies before they smash your shelter's barricades and start munching on your brains. You choose your survival strategy when you build your deck. Do you pack as many guns into your deck as you can? Do you use traps and reinforce your defenses? Do you stun stronger zombies and pick off the weak ones? You have the freedom to play as you want. I have actually had a lot of fun playing this game! Would give it 5 stars but for some reason the game erased my save and I had to start over after playing for a few hours. Other then that its been awesome!

This game is...incredible. I've come back to it for years. The loop is simple and satisfying. Tactical but not too taxing for a very casual chill. Fun card combat in a style you don't normally get.

It's like it doesn't work on 2020 devices without having it to access your location It works for one second and then stops what kind of game is that seriously fix it right now it doesn't even work on a new devices change that to one star because of how horrible

Love the game after a few hours. I agree with others that the UI lacks polish, but it's not really an issue outside of diminished aesthetics. It would be 5 stars, but the current ads for the game tend to cause it to crash pretty frequently. I'd recommend using this version as a demo, and consider buying the ad free version if you like it. That's probably what I'm going to do.

To tell the truth I like to game. A whole heck of a lot better than others that's for sure. Its an interesting storyline, funny thing is I'm only on the 2nd cutscene so I don't have alot to tell. However, I keep getting this endless youtube ad for winning a $1000, so if you get this steer clear might be some kind of a trick. Anyway game is good, I suggest if you like card and strategy games + zombies then this is for you.

I do enjoy this game. it's very repetitive but I have spent easily 100+ hours playing this game. the low (2) review is due to the fact I have lost my save at least 20 times and have had to restart. even after 100 hour I still dont know how long the story is. it's more than 5 hour, but haven't had a save that lasted much longer than that.

A good game but a little bit short with a steep learning curve. The card interface needs work as it can be difficult to remember all of the different abilities. The interesting thing is the asymmetric deployment of cards. A multiplayer mode could be good. Worth playing!

Really great game - a free one that's not P2W for a change. Cool art, simple gameplay but not always clear what's going on to start with (takes a bit of practice), couple minor issues for me (horde cards & Z buff cards can't be read once behind other cards, if you miss them on deal 🤔) but def not gamebreaking for me. Love love love it 😊

Entertaining game. Love the art. Got those comic vibe. Love the variety of zombies made things challenging. The utmost charm i think on collecting those cards. I just hope the would be more way to collect those card. Instead of repeating scavenging same item all over again it better and neat if there was some type of trader. Easier and more productive. Overall Nice game to try. Bit sad though because no more futher update.. Had lot of potential. PvP, sequel, or just another add on story.. WP
