Beginner Maori is a simple and direct Maori language learning app meant as an introduction to beginners and enthusiasts. Based on the 'a word a day' concept, this app provides up to 12 words a day of your choosing. All words 'learnt' are tested repeatedly thereafter, on a basis of decreasing regularity, if answered correctly, as you gain familiarity with the said word. The app is okay I guess for a beginner. It'll be cool though if the words could be used in some sort of sentence structure, or if it's used in common quotes. It'll be easier to remember words and know how to use them. Also the option to search up words in case the app isn't the only place you'd learn words. To have "levels" (even though it's beginner) would feel like a person is progressing.

Misleading and incorrect information about the language of our country. Some words and phrases are completely different from what is commonly known. Would help if app was developed by speakers of Te Reo

If you could have the words pronounced so that I could understand how to say it. But overall I get the concept of ticking the box. My husband is Maori I can surprise him with this app. I'm Samoan so he's learning my language also
