when my universal remote quit working looked for something inexpensive to use Phone, I found the bluetooth Puck device on Amazon. It works great, even tried diffent remote but went back to it, but agree with some other reviews should be a way to set up macros and or to force all volume controls on devices to other sound device(s) (such as Soundbar, Amplifier, etc), that is programed in the remote lists.

Got the Puck, installed the app, and started connecting devices. As with most multi-remote systems, finding the right code group is cumbersome, not the app's fault, per se. Range to the targets is limited (longer battery life) but I was able to get consistent results at 5ft. Four stars for: - very small, unobtrusive design - clean app UI - fair effective range - low cost and no subs Minus one star for: - static remote screens (nice to have custom buttons) - 1 connected user at a time

Phone discovers Pick but won't connect to either of them. Very disappointed and wondering What the Puck! The 2 I have say they are Bluetooth 4.1 , there are no directions, but I'm very good with technology and this simply doesn't work. I have a Samsung S8+ I may try to contact the developer and see what The Puck is happening. Love the idea but the execution OR lack of sucks!

So far I love the puck 2. Brings remote control back to my phone! The app needs some serious development. First thing to fix is button repeat. I have to press the volume button 25-30 times to lower the volume on my sound bar. You should be able to hold the button and have it repeat. Fix that and a little more customization (like button placement and volume punch through) and they have a winner!

Bought 4 pack. was interested in a generic bluetooth to infrared device to override hotel LG tvs using installer codes. Alterative was a usb device for pc. This concept was a deciding factor. However... the bluetooth is weak and slow to connect, its a peer to peer on demand system, and the infrared per their faq has a 3-5ft range. I have no where to mount it with a wall mounted sony bravia to make it work. app sucks, faq is 1 year outdated. disappointed. guess usb or wait is my options.

I bought the puck 1. It came in a 2 pack. The devices seem to connect to my phone but do not work with my New LG Smart TV or the old dennon reciver. My friends harmony remote works fine on my equipment. Double the price but at least it works... Returning to puck asap.

The app does work but you have to switch to a different screen for each device you want to control. There is no customization. Supposedly they are working on enabling customization. Will update if they do. Its been 2 month, no update yet.

Update: Yeesh, barely connects. Very low power connection. Suggestion to manufacturer - Lipo battery that is rechargeable. The Ble unit is greatly under powered. Connection could be enhanced by ble 5.

Bought the puck, installed the app. And the puck won't even communicate with the app. Tried 3 different devices. "Bluetooth has encountered an error" defective device. Won't buy again...

Terribly inconsistent pairing. One unit lasted less than a week. Not worth the price and there are better options, i.e. Wi-Fi
