A lot of fun, until you hit the paywall. As F2P games go, its fun to play and level up your cards and equipment. The game is also unusual generous with unit pulls. However, nothing good lasts forever, and you will eventually hit a wall where you'll need to shell out big bucks to proceed, or wait a long, long time to get the resources/pulls you need to progress.

A good game. You can always progress. Use your gems wisely to buy gear and other items. Do not spend all gems on summons you will lose. Gear beats levels any day. If you lose try try again and focus on 1 army if u want to go free to play like me. Currently in chapter 16 and i have not been stuck. Good luck. Last tip. Pick a server with good connection and or cut other programs off when you play. This gam takes alot of RAM. Thus slowing and or losing connection.

Progression is slow early on and they lock alot of content unless you reach higher levels. It feels like you have limited options and can only wait for the free resources if you don't want to pay for advantages, which is the case. However, as you level up more avenues open up, allowing you to better reinforce your units. The game is pretty generous with the gems if you do all the missions and you can obtain many tickets that allow you to summon units.

Played during Open Beta, got several hours in and was able to experience most of the features I think. I've played a good few Gacha mobile games like this, and am a fan of Metal Slug as well. So I'm confident in my analysis that this is a bad game. There is a lot of microtransactions being pushed in your face, logging in you'll have to dismiss at least two, and then maybe up to 5 more to get the notifications off your UI. Art is pretty bad. Not because "Oh it's old and pixels." Pixels and classical game graphics are awesome. Metal Slug Commander's graphics don't even hold up to the old fashioned home console versions. Very ugly low resolution. Not much in the way of nice static art like some Gacha games will give you, either. Mobile games these days are capable of way better, even a slacker like FGO does better and these days that's considered on the lower end of quality. Metal Slug Commander was not made by the same teams that worked on Metal Slug Attack and Metal Slug Defend. This looks like the usual Shovelware coming out of that region, I'm sad to say. Actual gameplay requires very little user input. If you want, you can tell your guys when to use their Special or just set it on Auto for the same results. This game is a trap. Please avoid. Lots of shiny lights to trick you into spending money. Nothing here for someone looking for a fun game or a new way to enjoy Metal Slug. PS: Fio best girl.

As for the game, it's fun, easy, and brings back nostalgic feelings like some of the other top Metal Slug games you can find in the App Store. Still has some things that needs to be polished, but it's already good, and would only get better with time. Edit: You can use items with a tablet, but you need to find a small part at the bottom of the "USE" button. It's not the whole button, but at least it's possible to use the items.

Well after playing it since release, it feels semi like a letdown. I mean it's a fun game, its certainly enjoyable but once you get to a certain point it just feels repetitive, and with how much you need to grind to get stuff to promote characters and how much gems you need to get more, with how little you're given if you play for free, it becomes tiring and obnoxious the rates for more rare characters are fine, somewhat at least I rolled roughly 50 times without a 5 star once

nice idle game of metal slug, units are great and the player's growth is steady, but the game need more optimization, i have a mid-tier phone and it runs smoothly BUT it overheat my phone in less than 5 minutes, if compared, i play genshin impact for an hour and my phone doesnt overheat, genshin is fully 3d game, while this game only use 2d sprites yet it overheat my phone. The game is awesome, but please optimize it more.

Fun game to play and check in daily to build up your team but it has some problems that stand out to me after a week playing and spending about $30. ● Where's Tarma, Eri, Allen, and Team Ikari? Why add many new waifu units before classic metal slug/SNK characters? ● 3☆ units are worthless. Why can't players rank them up like the AI can? There are too few useful units. ● Expensive. No permanent upgrades and most boosts are not worth the $. Still playable free but progress will be very slow.

You can to pay to become OP but why you need rise your chapter so fast it's idle games so relax . Just hate treasure mine loot when you choose 4 card you can get block for modify because that - one star And add more detail for each item Just like most idle games you can become OP when wait idle rewards

I keep getting Update Failed... Been trying to download the game since Sept 12 but keep getting this error... I reinstall the game because of the lagging issue, but now cannot even enter the game... The error should be coming from your server as I play another online/idle game with no problem at all
