App worked fine like 2 years ago but now it wont connect at all, stuck on "initializing". BB-8 is fine and charged, no damage, just kept stored for a long time. Why.

This app was ok, but I got a new phone, and like others I'm now stuck on the "Downloading additional assets" startup screen, making zero progress despite all permissions being enabled and good internet connection.

Been mostly miss on this app. Have only gotten the bb8 to move twice after multiple uninstall/reinstall. I think it's the app itself as it gets stuck 1/4 of the way while initializing. I'm on a Samsung S20+ with all updates installed.

Won't connect. Have installed and uninstalled so many times. I have tried other phones with same experience. Glad I spent so much money on something that doesn't work.

LG stylo 6, the app wouldn't recognize the droid, uninstalled and reinstalled and it wouldn't even get past the 'additional assets' screen. Reset the droid and my phone several times to no avail.

Driving works well. Easy interface, nice tutorials for beginners. Watch with me, however, doesn't work with me at all. Mic works, permissions are on, I deinstalled and reinstalled the app, I forced a system update, checked for RAM, still nothing works. Update: thank you for the quick reply. I will go to support.

Tried opening it up and it tells me that it's "Downloading additional assets for BB-8 App." Then it hangs and doesn't download anything. I guess my BB-8 is just a piece of abandonware now. :-( EDIT: Yes, location services are enabled for my phone.

Overall, I think it's a great app., but its missing one thing that I noticed right away since I already have a Sphero ball. It's missing the tilt steer option where you can choose to steer the droid by tilting the phone in the direction you want it to go instead of using the onscreen joystick. The sphero has this option so I was expecting it to also be an option on the droid. Please add this since it's probably a simple software update. Thank you

This app is great but Several times there is some kind of loading and connecting problems like if I start the app the sphero bb8 wallpaper is there for like 1 hour and Even if this got connected bb8 is not responding properly Like if I gave the yes animation bb8 runs forward nonstop And if none of this happened if i go to drive or any other modes The is a white screenfor a long time Only sometimes this runs properly Even in watch with me bb8 is not interacting Droids by sphero is great

Overall pretty fun experience, easy to use and understand but nothing too fancy. Having bought mine at a reduced rate of £60 I'd say it's well worth the money, however if you are looking to get one for over that I'd say think again. The app is pretty basic all in all which isn't a bad thing as it makes using the toy much easier, but it would have been nice to see some refinement and add some sort of customisation to the controls (2 joystick on screen, multiple speeds).
